Philbin chose Coyle because he knew he'd make players better
Peter King wrote: Only two teams have allowed fewer points than Miami, and only two fewer rushing yards. "Defensively,'' said Philbin, "we've got very good players. When I got the job, I didn't choose Kevin Coyle because he knew the 4-3 so well. It was because I knew what a passion he had for football, and I knew he could help make our players better. Our defense plays fast and plays with passion." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/w ... index.html

That's what good coaches do.

I have been impressed by Croyle's calls... He never changed last week even with the big lead, kept sending pressure and playing press rather than prevent..

There were some times where he backed off the Jets and they started getting completions. I like what our secondary is doing this year but they are dependent upon the pass rush to play good. Every time we back off they get exposed. CB is still an area of need right behind WR.
