Dolphins compensate for poor rushing performance with productive screen passes to Reggie Bush

...

"Oldies, but goodies" were what Dolphins tight end Anthony Fasano called them.
He's referring to the halftime adjustments the Dolphins made, dusting off a few sparingly used screen passes that neutralized the speed of St. Louis' defense, allowing Rams defensive ends Chris Long and Robert Quinn to get up-field before dumping it off to Reggie Bush, who was typically led by two blockers.
"It was a halftime adjustment," Fasano said. "We got off our game plan a little bit and had to chance some things up. It was a great adjustment by the coaches, and the players responded well on plays we hadn't even run during the week."

"After we got greased up against Oakland the Jets we've gotten a lot of extra people in the box," said starting left guard Richie Incognito. "We've got a lot different fronts to get blocked up, and seemed like today it was always a three hitter (coming)."
Incognito's referring to linebacker or safety blitzes coming off the edge, forcing the Dolphins offensive line to shift on the fly.

I really loved that middle screen that set up the second TD. Great call. If Bush were healthy, then he would have scored easily.

Sometimes the simple plays are the most effective. Especially when the ball is in the hands of an explosive playmaker like Reggie Bush.
