That game was closer than it should have been. I blame that mainly on the refs. However, the dolphins came out flat on every part of the football team besides Cam Wake. They got it together but sheesh. The first half was hard to watch til we shook that bug.

Miami did the same thing two other teams did to us. Get mainly outplayed but still win.

Good win. Defense gave up yards, but not touchdowns. Vernon had two big sacks and sealed the victory. Hard to play a second opponent wearing pinstripes every week though. They need to get rid of that asinine tuck rule. If not, then a QB should just pump the ball in the pocket every play so that he will never be charged with a fumble. I really think Reggie Bush needs to sit and Lamar Miller needs to be in, especially on first and second downs. Bush is a shadow of himself since the injury.

Solid game from Tannehill. Saw the blown coverage on Moore and made them pay. No turnovers.

The Rams kicker cost them the game. If he makes those two FG, then Miami loses 20-17.

Dolphins did not play their best and still won to get to 3-3. As far as the kicker is concerned, Dolphins could say the same about Dan Carpenter. Goes both ways.

both of these teams need an infusion of playmakers. They're mirror images of each other.
We just have no 'POP' in our offense. Hopefully we will next season.

Yeah, isn't that great to happen to the other team for a change? A win is win, especially a game where Miami struggled.

Jeff Fisher did not impress me and I feel like the Dolphins getting the consolation prize of Philbin and Tannehill might be the best of all.

About to sit tied atop the AFC East at 3-3. Pats about to be closed out in Seattle.

Nope, just pointing out how asinine it was, the first time it was said. Missed FG in the 2nd Qtr do not lose games.

The way the Rams were moving the ball versus how the Dolphins were moving the ball, those two missed field goals were deflating for the Rams. Sorry, but while you may have been trying to be asinine, you're actually 100% correct for once... which is ironic...

How about that? Miami tied for first place going into the bye week. Jets and Pats face off next week. We play at the Jets week after the bye for the rematch.

Deflating? Yea, because professional football players are known to quit in the 2nd Qtr because of a missed 52 FG & one right before half being down by a whole 4 points. If they are quitting, then better be cutting some players. 30 minutes of football left.

Is there anyone else who even might believe a professional team quits on the game because of two missed FGs in the 1st half & only being down by 4 points? Anyone?

The entire AFC East is 3-3.

It's not how you start the season, it's how you finish.

The Dolphins went from losing close games to winning them.

It was ugly, but an ugly win is better than an ugly loss!

Tannehill is great for the Dolphins.

I think the Dolphins will continue to improve. The pats time is coming to an end.

Go Dolphins!

Were 3-3 and tied for first but depending on how you look at it were also tied for last. Realistically if we want to have a chance at the playoffs we need to win our next 4 games because our schedule at the end of the season looks brutal pats twice seahawks, 49ers those are all gonna be tough games. We need to beat the jets next thatll be huge. Hopefully the bye week gets reggie healthy and returns our running game to where it was earlier in the season.

Your discussions end quickly with me or for that matter anyone? Funny, you might want to take off that big red nose, because your jokes are dying. You discussions NEVER end quickly with anyone. NEVER!!!!

The good dictionary would have to change the definition of quickly for that to ring factual. I know you will bring it out if need be & the grammar police, so you can feel like you have won a MB discussion.

Well if coming up with below average logic is not accepting someones logic like NFL players quit in games because of missed FG in the 1st half. Then I'll take below avg. logic, since it would be a step up.

How do you come up with something so asinine ridickulous as that & believe it sellable?

The worst missed FG ( 37 Yder ) came at the end of the half. Plenty of time for the Rams to overcome the deflation of that missed FG. However, if it did deflate them after sitting for halftime, then they quit. Since I cannot see professional football players quitting with 30 mintues of football left to be played & only being down by 4 points because of a couple of missed FGs the deflation/quitting point is not very well thought out.

Also, if a missed 52 Yder deflates them, then they might need to seek different employment.

3-3 sure beats 2-4. It was an ugly win, but a win nonetheless. But you know what they say, good teams find a way to win close games and bad teams find ways to loose them. We were that bad team that didn't have its stuff together when we played the Jets and Cardinals. Now we're on the other side and closing out games against the Bengals and Rams. We've been in a situation to close out a game with a lead five straight games now. We're 3-2 in those games. If Tannehill keeps giving our defense leads in the 4th quarter, then I think this team is capable of winning nine or ten games this season. If we win ten games, you can pretty much punch our ticket to the dance this year. I don't want to get my hopes too high, but the more I watch this team improve from week to week, I can't help but think we're capable of winning ten games.

Did we not secure two fumbles that were overturned? Don't begin to act like they were the better team because their kicker miss a 52 and SIXTY SIX (no kicker has ever made from that distance) yard FGs. Can you finally enjoy the feeling of victory without the pesimisim on the side?

I agree, each of those fumbles could have been called in our favor. If that happens perhaps the score is lopsided in our favor. Or what about the questionable touchdown? It looked to me like Bradford lost his handle on the football and Jones recovered it. So take away that touchdown and we run the clock out with a 17-6 lead. Both teams had opportunities, we just capitalized on more of them.

You did not catch the jest of my post. It was posted here a few weeks ago that DC missing the FG against the Cards cost Miami the game. Implying that the rest of the game does not change if he makes it.

Its was a stupid thought process then & it is still a stupid thought process to believe missed FG early in the game cost a team the game especially when they score afterwards.

Agreed on all point! Only thing I would add is that Joe Philbin's call on the fake punt went a long way to sealing the victory. If the Rams have more time on the clock and two more timeouts maybe they can drive a little farther and get the game into OT.
