Dolphins C Mike Pouncey has yet to allow a sack or quarterback hit in five games this season.
According to Pro Football Focus, only 49ers C Jonathan Goodwin is playing at a higher level this year. Contrary to conventional wisdom, PFF has consistently ranked Mike as a better player than brother Maurkice. "Mike is one hell of a player," said LT Jake Long. "He had a great rookie year and it has even been better this year."

It was a legit concern. I didn't like the pick cause it was "another O-Lineman" in the 1st rd and we need playmakers. Looking back, it was a hell of a pick and I was wrong. Solid starter.

Yes solid so far. Ingram was probably the only playmaker that was worthy of being drafted that high. I was not that high on him, especially in that position, and so far he has been a bust. I preferred taking Ryan Williams/Leshoure in Rd. 2

I remember those questions about Mike coming out of the draft, and while there was buzz about the Dolphins taking Mike in the 1st round, I went in another direction. I knew there was a chance, a good chance the Dolphins would take Mike though.

It was not a sexy pick, but the Dolphins needed to address the OL. You don't win in the NFL if you don't have the OL and DL play. The Dolphins have young, big talented OL and DL and they are getting better each week.

Top ranked rush defense and 6th in sacks and 8th in the NFL in rushing show progress is being made on both sides of the ball in regards to line play. Work still needs to be done, but Miami is close.
