Report: Phins talking contract with Hartline
Quote: Report: Phins talking contract with Hartline
The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins have opened preliminary contract discussions with impending free agent Brian Hartline.
The price tag just skyrocketed. Leading the NFL in receiving yards at the quarter-season mark, Hartline needs to average just 78 per game the rest of the way to break Mark Clayton's single-season franchise record of 1,389 yards. "I didn't see it coming," said ex-scout Daniel Jeremiah. "He's impressed the heck out of me. There's been nothing phony about his production. It's been legitimate." As long as he stays healthy, Hartline is here to stay as a fantasy asset. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/32398192/ns/sports-nfl/

Re: Report: Phins talking contract with Hartline
Hartline is a good young receiver that has proven he can be a long term target for Tannehill, a potentially elite number two outside threat at that. He's on track for a crazy number of receiving yards this year. He's on track to smash just about every Dolphins record in terms of receiving yardage this year. If he just averages 50 yards a game for the rest of the season he'll crack 1,000 yards, that in and of itself is pretty impressive for a guy who many saw as a number three or number four receiver, myself included.

Hartline deserves a nice pay day. He is a steady performer and keeps getting better. No drama, team player, class act, hard worker with a high level of integrity too.

Brian has developed a very nice chemistry with Ryan. This is a smart move by the Dolphins to keep one of their young players in the fold.

You have to keep players like him around, its good for the team.
Reggie should be next.
