Yeah I read that earlier today. Unfortunately for Chad, I think BP, Ireland, and Sparano do mind.

Let him blabber. If he comes to camp and produces well this will all be forgotten.

Re: Chad Henne wouldn't mind bringing TO or Marshall
We can always replace him with Pat White Or maybe we can draft another QB this year.....with all the holes we have to fill already. I don't blame Henne at all for speaking out. It seems clear the team is not going to upgrade at WR this year and that makes Henne's job next year a rough one. Will the Dolphins ever bring in a play maker on offense??? Who on our current offense is an explosive home run threat? The answer is no one. We had pathetic stats for long runs last year....and even worse stats in the passing game. Our team has to grind it out to score....other teams didn't have nearly the same problem against us.

Long, grind it out, tiring the D, type of drives that hopefully produce TD's. Good solid running, a pass here and there on 3rd down, and move the chains that way. Just because most teams are going into the Run n' Gun type of game does not mean that we have to follow suit or else...quite the opposite. If we can continue to build this Defense, and maintain this type of running game for the next couple of years, with Henne developing, we will have a unique advantage against most teams in the NFL who are going into a spread type of style.

Grind it out football might have worked for Parcells in 1986, but the league has changed some in the past 24 years.
The teams that went deep into the playoffs and were featured in the Super Bowl have top flight passing games. The Jets were the sole exception, and even they have a true #1 WR who makes big plays. The Colts made it to the Super Bowl with one of the worst rushing games in football. The Saints won the Super Bowl with a very mediocre defense.

You have realized that other teams don't have a problem scoring on the Dolphins AND that the Dolphins do, in fact, score. So what exactly were you arguing for again?

Re: Chad Henne wouldn't mind bringing TO or Marshall
Miami certainly could use a big play WR to stretch the field and they do need to score more points, but the defense certainly needs to be addressed and needs a little more help than the offense. 24.4 points a game defensively ranked in the later 3rd of the league, 25th to be exact.
Both sides of the ball need to be improved.

Re: Chad Henne wouldn't mind bringing TO or Marshall
Frustrated has been howling about a WR for a few years now. I do believe Miami needs to get that playmaker at WR. But the defensive unit is old at OLB and Joey Porter is gone, the ILB play was subpar and while you have Karlos Dansby in the fold and he is a big boost, another ILB needs to be bought in. Gibril Wilson was cut at FS, and while Chris Clemons has the physical ability, the staff believes he is not ready to take over yet. I like Chris Culver and think he could do a good job at FS, but there no question that Miami will draft a FS.
I do believe more help is needed on the defensive side of the ball. But a playmaker at WR and a TE that can stretch the field would be nice also.

I think we'll draft a ballhawk type safety as well in the first two rounds. Who that will be, I have no idea. Or if Berry falls to 12(which he won't) we will definitely take him.

Re: Chad Henne wouldn't mind bringing TO or Marshall
Get a real #1 threat at WR and this team should be able to score 28+ points with ease. It also makes it possible for us to score quickly when the chips are down and the game is tight....something that is hard to do getting 5-10 yards per play. No one ever said our defense doesn't need help....they do.....but this team hasn't added a play maker since Ronnie Brown in 2005....and he really isn't that big of a breakaway threat.
