sounds a lil crazy,,, two pretty solid D players though. i love ronnie, but really dont trust him all that much. im kinda hopin they get a crack at dexter mccluster one way or another

That is an interesting trade. Ernie Sims is a headhunter at LB and Cliff Avril is a guy that was a stud DE at Purdue that converted to OLB in a 3-4 scheme. Sims is a 3rd year player and Avril is going into his 2nd year.

I love Ronnie, but he is definitely injury prone and Ted Ginn has been highly inconsistent.

Sounds like a Madden trade. 98% of the time these trade rumors are just fans speculating or dreaming. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, its just that I'm not going to take this too serious as there is little chance of a deal like this going down.

Everyone is speculating the Ginn move. However with the current rules regarding FA's, I see Ginn staying a Dolphin til his contract expires, then they make a rinky dink offer, another team picks him up for a little more and the Phins get the comp pic in the following draft

thats my speculation anyway... Being Ginn has very little trade value. Unless someone only saw the 2 jets games last year

PJ, I'm proud of you there young man. You have finally realized after being told a few times that there is a certain size player you want in a 3-4 scheme.

I remember last year you were talking about Elvis Dumervil playing DE in a 3-4 defense, in which I replied back that he would probably be an OLB in a 3-4 scheme.

Ernie Sims is a headhunter, but Sims is only 6', 230 lbs. Avril would be a nice get as he is a legit, young 3-4 OLB.

As has been stated by most though, this trade makes no sense.

I think I mentioned wanting Avril in another thread lol... but I wouldnt do that trade.
