Do the Dolphins try to acquire him from Dallas yet again? I know his play improved and the current regime thinks highly of him. If I'm not mistaken they wanted him first, and then settled for Ayodele. This type of deal would seem to make sense given their needs and the low round cost of trading for him.

Carpenter would certainly be a better 3rd down LB than Ayodele, as Ayodele....well he isn't one. So, I could definitely see them trying to acquire his services. That said, it might cost a 4th round draft choice, maybe even 3rd, as he has become pretty valuable in that Dallas defense as a 3rd ILB, and as a STer.

If it does cost that much than it's a no.

I know Parcells drafted him, but has he really developed? I would say he's been a bit of a disappointment for a mid-first round draft pick.

I remember his old man as a running back for the Giants back in the early 80s.

We'd be better off using the picks on a LB in the draft...Carpenter hasn't been anything special.

Carpenter was drafted as an OLB. He wasn't going to play much behind Ware. He is now playing behind James and Brooking. He played behind Zach last season.

With all those "studs" ahead of him, it isn't easy to see the field.

Why not trade Jason Allen for Bobby Carpenter? we need linebackers and Dallas needs secondary help.
