I have been told that Rob Chudzinski is the frontrunner to become the Dolphins OC, but I'm uncertain what his status with Carolina search is.

The Fins appear to prefer Chudzinski to Brad Childress, who is expected to interview for the job at some point. The Panthers also want Chudzinski, but the Dolphins may have a built-in edge in that he is particularly familiar with South Beach. Chud coached tight ends at "The U" from 1996 until 2000.

I must call them Twits....

The one that doesnt leave my memory is that Harbaugh is our coach.... "Its a done deal" is what was twitted...

Twit Twit

Although it would not surprise me that Miami would want the less experienced guy that has done nothing over the guy with an impressive resume...

The whole west coast thing might be a factor tho..

However maybe that is the way to go. We have always gotten the big name & look where it has taken us.

The guy has the nickname Chud, I love it! If he can install something similar to that Chargers offense in Miami then we're in business. We could go from pop-gun to shotgun if it works out. If Sparano and the rest of the staff feel this is the right guy for the job then we need to get him. I'm sure we've got more money than Carolina.

The Dolphins need to get themselves a tight end for Chud ... if we add him as our OC. The Panthers want him, too.

Quote:
During his NFL coaching career, which includes a stint as the Cleveland Browns’ offensive coordinator, Chudzinski has run a pro style offense that leans heavily on it’s rushing attack and tight ends. During his coaching career he’s served as a mentor to Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow Jr., and Antonio Gates.

Chudzinski has done nothing?

Compared to Childers, nope not really much...

Childers has taken two teams to a div championship, once as an OC and once as a head coach. He was the OC of the Eagles when they went to the superbowl and was the QB coach when they went to 3 straight NFC champ games... He has 11 years experience in the NFL and has been coaching since 1978 coaching QB's, RB's and WR's......

Chudinski has been a TE coach for Cle and SD, and was the OC for the Canes....

Cant say he has done a whole lot.. Maybe you see something in there that makes it an even comparison...

There is no doubt that Childress carries with him a much lengthier resume, he's considerably older and more experienced than Chudzinski. However, Chudzinski brings in my opinion an offense that is more in line with what our coaches are looking for in an offensive coordinator. Chudzinski is a south Florida type of guy who I feel would bring a lot of intensity and innovation compared to a guy like Childress. Sometimes new blood is a good thing when it comes to coaches. Maybe that is the direction we will go?

It could be, this guy could possibly be the guy we need...

If you could draft a QB that never played in the league or sign a FA that has played in multiple championship games who would you want?

Childers is the smart choice of a proven OC thats not afraid to take chance...

Maybe Chudinski is too, not real sure... But if he is more in line with what our coaches want, which has seemed to be grind it out play not to loose football, once your up by 3 point just protect the ball and run the clock out, Im just not interested...

First of all dont change the parameters to your convenience. You said he has done nothing without qualifying the statement. now you are comparing him to Childress. Make up your mind.

Secondly, check your facts. Chud was the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR for the Browns while they had one of the most explosive offenses in the league. Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow Jr and Derek Anderson had career years with this guy as the OC, so he has accomplished something.

Well all of this is null and void, Brian Doball is the new OC of the Miami Dolphins! God I hope Ireland and Sparano know what they're doing...
