Well, he threw his defense under the bus.

Jets Defensive Players Unhappy with Rex Ryan
Mon Dec 13, 2010

The New York Post reports Jets DE Shaun Ellis couldn't believe what HC Rex Ryan said after Sunday’s 10-6 loss to the Dolphins. The Jets' defense held the Dolphins to 131 yards of total offense, a total of six first downs (one in the second half) and just five completions. The defense produced five sacks and three fumble recoveries. "According to Rex we played [bleepy]," Ellis said of HC Rex Ryan's words to the defense after the game. "He said we weren't good enough. I guess we needed a shutout. I guess that's what he was talking about." The criticism did not sit well with the defensive players, likely explaining why most of them bolted from the locker room before reporters were allowed in. LB Bart Scott, the so-called leader of the group, had someone bring him his clothes from his locker. "It's frustrating to hear that because we played a solid game," Ellis said. "I guess he just expects so much out of the defense that there should have been zero points on the board, not 10."

That is beautiful!
I knew we were going nowhere this year but I wanted to keep the Jets in a down spiral after the Pats loss.
Ryans get old fast in the NFL. Buddy was all hype for a couple years as a head coach and then fizzled out.

Wow, he blamed his defense? The only reason we were able to score at all was due to turnovers.

I'll tell you what is even more beautiful ... they have to play at Pittsburgh and at Chicago their next two games. Could that be a 4 game slide?

You think we are going to beat the Pats, Lions, and Bills? I like your optimism. :yay:

Why not? The Lions are playing Drew Stanton, the Bills are hot and cold, and the Pats could be sitting half of their starters by half time in the final game of the year. The Jets have a tough stretch.

Its a Hail Mary, but crazier things have happened.

Since when does Belichick sit his starters?

He did back in 2006 when we beat them in Foxboro in the final game of the season.

I think they'll play for one half and then one possession into the 3rd Q, like in a 3rd Pre Season game (depending on the weather).

Either way we should finish 10-6. Unfortunately we need a lot of help.

ya, they were downright arrogant jerks about that yesterday.
It's time teams start going after Brady's head when he's still in the game with 8 minutes left and they're winning by 37

Game 16 in the cold Northeast is not a time to be risking your team unless home field advantage is on the line. But it is Belichick so I used "could" and not "will."

I love watching that team implode. They got demolished by the Pats, and embarrassed by us AT HOME and they start to fall apart.

Excellent.
