Wake is amazing.
Just a few coverage breakdowns here and there in the secondary.
And too many dropped balls.

Mike Nolan and Karlos Dansby have been HUGE pickups for the Miami defense. Great job of stopping the run and the conditions were not conducive for the passing game and Sanchez struggled.

Defense won this game today for Miami and they have played really well the last half of the season as this young unit has jelled.

Our defense played well, but honestly, the Jets offense was 'barely' an improvement from the Phins offense this week; that ain't saying much.

sorry but before today they were averaging 22 points a game....nothing to sneeze at.....why do people here over react to the negatives and try to diminish the positives on our team ?

I have too much fun watching our defense play.
I think i'm going to leave the living room every time the offense takes the field.
It's too hard to watch.

Yep....the defense is much improved....the offense is downright painful to watch.

They stuffed the run all day long and forced Sanchez to hurry and make mistakes. The defense won this game today.

We are conditioned to it by this team constantly underperforming. :ann0y:

under performing????? we have a young team and are inconsistent....if u thought we were going 14-2 or something like that...maybe unrealistic expectations are more the problem then under performing...Sparano has us playing extremely hard and very disciplined...not under performing

The D is going to be great in the coming years. We need to spend our entire draft on the offense.

Fields helped the D with those booming punts.

Agree Makchell. I can't think of a single position on defense that I would draft over any of our needs on offense. Might look for some more depth in a few places, but I don't know where. The front 3 are stacked, we got good OLBs, Edds will be back next year so ILB will be stacked, CBs are good, Safeties... well, Bell is no spring chicken, but he's playing like a 20year old still. Offense has holes.

It helps to have the best pair of kickers out there.

Fields was awesome, especially when you factor in the rainy weather....simply a spectacular performance.....

Defense was awesome, but yes Fields was a big time difference maker in this game.

The D is absolutely set for years to come. Only area of need is a 3rd down pass rusher to opposite Wake.

Suppose that is right PR, I think that need is masked pretty well by our interior guys getting a lot of pressure themselves. Solai has gone from b***h to bull!

even Quentin Moses joined in on the fun today.
I think Misi will develop into a good pash rusher with time.

The rotation along the D-line is P-H-E-N-O-M-I-N-A-L ..... I hope to God they can keep those guys in tact.

They'll have a big decision to make in the off season in regards to bringing McDaniel and Soliai back. I don't think that you can pay both of them.

It's not a coincidence that Soliai's break out season comes in a contract year, but you are almost forced into resigning him.

McDaniel is over-rated and plays a position that we're stacked at. You have to re-sign Soliai.

If you can keep McDaniel for the type of money he is worth, (3 million a year), than OK. But anything more than that and you let him walk.

Because if the Jets simply catch the footballs that hit their hands, they win handily. I guess you could say the same thing about Smith.

Actually, our guys dropped a few too including Brown losing a fumble.

Tony McDaniel has played well JP. Were are you coming up with overrated from? Paul Soliai showed signs last year of busting out, but he was inconsistent.

Yes, it is a contract year, but 3-4 nose tackles are hard to find. Miami has been patient with Paul and he has learned a great deal while playing with Jason Ferguson.

Having depth along the DL is invaluable, and in my opinion you bring both back.

McDaniel is NOT overrated (he's been playimg lights out), but if you have to make a choice, you pay Soliai.
