take the football and shove it up Sean Smith's keester, and see if maybe he can hold onto it that way

Sean Smith had a great game. He's a big reason they won today. Picks are great, but ending 4 to 5 drives today with tipped passes was huge.

but why win 10-6 and down to the last play when you can make the interceptions, run a few in for scores (alot of his have been walk in TD's)
and win comfortably

It would be nice to see more INT's....the first one he dropped was a pick 6.

Give Smith credit for being in the right place. He has improved immensely.

Oh definitely, Smith was in position virtually all day and jumping routes. The last one he dropped was doubly frustrating on replay though...the ball was heading straight to a waiting Yeremiah Bell....but no matter, Smith was a huge factor in making the game a W for the Dolphins today.

He has, but these guys are getting paid Millions.
I won't be happy with just passes defensed when you're paid well to make plays that help win the game. Some of these are just served to him on a platter.
It's good to see him making tackles these days though.

Been an issue all season. As mentioned earlier, the missed pick six opportunties have contributed to the team missing out on a few more wins.

take it easy ??? This thread is a FAIL... Smith helped win the game....not lose it, I can tell u haven't played as you toss out statements like "he should a ran a few back for scores" how many games has anyone returned more then 1 pic for a touchdown in the history of the NFL ?..really....more likely to have your qb throw 6tds then that....get a clue!!

Dropped picks have been the difference in at least three games, jets 1, ravens, Browns...still it is hard to fault the defense with the effort they put out today. They came clutch time after time.

You need to calm it down there Skippy. You're getting way too emotional over nothing.
I was talking about the entire season for Smith. Probably leads the league in drops.
He had a good game but stop trying to make it sound like he was Deion Sanders today.

395,000 is a ton of money, so what is your point?

He should still catch all those easy butt interceptions.

Big difference between millions and what Smith makes.

Is that really too much to ask? Come on guys!!!
If we just expect all these players to do half of their job then we will win half of our games every year.

A child with elementary reading comprehension levels could tell that my point is that he isn't making millions.

His primary jobs as a defensive back are to cover pass plays and tackle. He did that very well.

If he were good at catching passes, he wouldn't be a DB.

Wow, Smith had a great game. Most of them were off his finger tips anyway. Davis, Smith, and Carrol for years to come.

I agree, we have some nice young d-backs. They just need to start catching some of these passes that hit their hands.

Sean Smith played a lights out game. Most importantly he stepped in front and broke up like 6 passes and that is huge. Of course, I wish he would have held on to the pick six opportunities, but any coach would be proud of todays effort. He keeps getting better and better.

Things in the secondary sure seem to be looking up now that Jason Allen and Gibril Wilson are gone. :yay: Sean Smith dropping INT's is frustrating, but 4 passes defensed....that is huge for the Dolphins' secondary!

If we get Will Allen back, things will be even better...assuming we keep him.
