Dez Bryant is hurt to....And is always a threat to get into trouble...

I wouldn't call him an upgrade just yet....I wanted a tight end this year so i would say Gronkowski also

If Dez Bryant has the maturity to handle this coaching staff then he may have been a nice pick as both WR and KR.

Still way too early to even start thinking about this stuff...too many what if's. Lets see what Odrick and Misi develop into. Dez Bryant and Earl Thomas could flame out just as quickly as they could blossom into stars.

Way too early. I would NEVER spend a 1st rd pick on aTE. DE's are another hot commodity in the NFL. Odrick looked the part. He'll be back. Merling has been with us and hasn't done squat.

Earl Thomas was the guy I wanted all along before the draft.
I guess they needed Odrick for their plan of shifting Starks to nose.
But Soliai has played so well this season things worked out differently.
Odrick should be a great player though. And Clemons and Reshod Jones are showing flashes at safety.
Much better than what we had last year.

I agree but we definitely should have grabbed a tight end in the middle rounds.
This was a really good group of tight ends in this past draft.
Jimmy Graham or Ed Dickson would have been a nice add to our offense.

Not disagreeing with the Odrick pick.

But if I was going to take somebody else right now, it would be Gronk. He's the next Tony Gonzalez. Guy is incredible.

I really thought they were gonna cut him.
I wouldn't be surprised if they try to trade him.
We're pretty loaded at end.

That's not a bad place to be loaded. Mind you, Starks is suppose to move over... be interesting to see what they do with the front 3 this offseason.

I really love our defense. It's not perfect but we have some real studs on that side.
We should be able to hang our hat on our defense and just play efficient offense, but that hasn't happened. But going forward, our young d-backs have to learn to catch the ball.

Considering the Miami Dolphins team leader in Int has been off the team for a month & had not started a game since Oct.. Plus already has matched the current Miami Dolphins team leaders in just his 3rd game with his new team the Texans.

The Int total is rather pathetic. How many would Miami actually have, if they had not dropped so many & even helped out a team with a TD.

Seriously? Wouldn't Aaron Hernandez have more of Gonzalez-like style of play?

Ehh....Hernandez is a WR listed as a TE. Gronk is an all around great player. Better blocker than Gonzalez was as a youngster.

The pass catching is the same though. The athleticism, hands, route running, nose for the marker/endzone, etc...

No way I would of took at TE only reason he's doing go is because of the system he's in and Tom Brady he wouldn't of been good in our system. I would rather be stack on D than to have wasted a pick on a TE that would be just average in our system.

I have been underwhelmed by Dolphin drafts for years now. Merling and Odrick were real head scratchers. Odrick might yet be a great one, but the team might have been better served drafting some weapons on offense....especially in the first round. The defense this year has been adequate. The offense is awful.

I was surpised at the pick. My take on it was that they traded down a bit too far. Oh well. It wasn't an awful pick (we have seen more than our fair share of those). No reason to question it because of the circumstances that happened afterward.

Everyone's all over Gronkowski.... isn't Hernandez having a better season? Call me crazy, or a homer Gators fan, but I was pushing hard for us to snag this kid Hernandez when we had the chance... we could've really used his athleticism.

Like was said by so many though, we haven't really gotten a chance to see what Odrick can do yet...

Odrick + Misi + Dobbins > Bryant?

Doesn't that include ST's TD's allowed?

Not to mention the horrible field position that our ST's gives up, and the lack of help they get from our offense. There is tons of pressure on them every Sunday to shut down the opponent and win the game, and to be 4th in total defense is amazing, IMO. Really excited about their future.

BTW, Tony Gonzalez can block and has twice the frame that Hernandez has.

Number wise yes. But Gronk is asked to do a lot of blocking and is in there for every single snap. Hernandez does almost no blocking, usually splits out wide, and only comes in on certain packages.

I'd take Gronk. He does way more for your offense. But there's no question Hernandez is a hell of a weapon too. Great tandem.

I'm with PR on this one. Not on Gronkowski. He's good but I wish we would have gotten E. Thomas. But, I agree that our defense is better then adequate. Especially as of late. 4th in the league is impressive. I am impressed by progress of the secondary. Which is scheme.. Wake.. and progress. I have also been really impressed with our run D as of late. Another game or 2 like these past few weeks.. and I can honestly see us ending up in the top 3 in terms of D.

I'll get on board with that. Let's see if we can do it on Sunday. The last two games the defense has been downright stingy.

Total Defense: 4th
Passing Defense: 5th
Run Defense: 9th

Would have wins over the Jets and Browns, and a botched call contributed to the Steelers loss.

More effective overall play and this team would be in 2nd place with a 9-3 record.

:yay:

Lets not forget better ST play against the Pats and we would have at least had a chance in that game....

This is a team that has very little margin for error

I forgot about the Baltimore game as well. If Smith actually holds on to that pick six we are talking tie or close to tie ball game and not forcing Miami to go into desperation pass mode. Gives them a chance in yet another game.

Funny how a comprehensive review shows its not just a QB or OC that is losing games.

I saw a highlight of a show called Basketball wives...Pretty sad show, but anyway...Odrick is going out with one of the girls...And it's not the type of show you want your tough guy defensive pass rusher on....
