Post Reshad Jones
WOW.

Not sure why Clemons was replaced in the second half, but Reshad Jones was amazing. 1 sack, 1 INT, couple nice tackles.....another couple pass breakups. GREAT game by Reshad Jones.

I thought he was a SS, but he clearly lost some weight. He looks a lot quicker than he did at Georgia.

He played both while at Georgia, but with 11 career INT's while at Georgia, I thought he could do the job at FS. Nice to see him come in and be a factor in the game.

Turnover in a lot of areas.

Nice to see Patrick Cobbs get some receptions

Nice to see Thigpen make a few clutch throws.

Nice to see Thigpen run for a first down at the end of the game.

Reshad looked great today. Its hard to say because Clemons also did good today but if he can play like that in the next couple games he should be the starter.

Both did well. Clemons was in/out with Cramps. Not performance based. Jones just gave us a safety controversy though.

Clemons did have a nice game today....and I think the referees screwed him on that hit on Moss that caused what sure looks like a fumble.

Hey, don't forget that big tackle by Al Harris today....solid tackle and kept the Titans from converting deep in our territory.

He showed more ball skills on one drive than Clemons has all season.

It is hard to judge his play by that last drive. The Titans were desperate and had to heave it up looking for the TD god to answer their prayers. The sack was a fine play though and at least Jones can catch a ball that comes his way.

Al Harris does bring an attitude to the secondary i like...

What the front office did with this Defense this past offseason is amazing if you think about it......

The D was as bad as it gets last year...Worst defense in Dolphin history

You forget he also caught a deep out that he couldn't get both feet in. I wouldn't judge his overall play by that last drive, but he caught 2 more passes than Clemons has all season.

The guy has ball skills. Was my favorite draft pick. I said he would play FS and I was right. Some argued he was a SS.

The guy covered sideline to sideline and that one arm sack on a QB with the strength of Vince Young was as good a play as I've seen all season.

I still think he is better suited to play SS.

But he looks better at FS than I expected. Like I said earlier, it looks like he lost weight. Looks quicker and faster than he did at Georgia.

We'll see how he does against a Mike Martz Offense. I fear against a fast team under Mike Martz that he'll be exposed in center field. We'll see though.

last year on a different forum we scouted him ,and out of 5-6 people ,i was the only 1 who fought he could make it at FS in the pro`s

rest thought he has to be a SS as his coverage skills are not upto scratch
so we will have to wait and see , but at this rate we will be looking for a replacement at SS
cause unfortunately y bell has lost it!!
it was great to see him have a great series of plays ,but like ur said its impossible to judge him on that series

it sure was nice to see a def BACK who could catch the dam ball!

That wasn't just a sack, he threw Vince Young like a rag doll.

Reshad has his weaknesses, but I believe Reshad can be a quality FS with the ability to be a big hitter as well. He had 11 career interceptions at Georgia, so he does have good ball skills. Plus, Jay Cutler has shown that he will throw his fair share of interceptions and I expect Miami to really get heavy pressure on him Thursday Night.

As me and Rich stated last night, it would not surprise me at all if we are looking at our future safety combo with Reshad at FS and Clemons at SS.

Clemons at SS? I don't think so man. He whiffs on way too many tackles.

If Jones can play FS, that's great. But I think that he'd make a REALLY good in the box safety. Wouldn't be surprised if next season Jones replaces YB at SS.

I don't want Reshad at SS. The guy has ball skills. He will have more opportunity to get picks at FS.

Why?

Troy Polamalu has no problems picking balls off from the SS spot....

In Mike Nolan's style of defense, where he runs a lot of single high, wouldn't the SS have more opportunities near the ball? Not only for INT's, but with his ability/nasitness, we're talking knock outs, fumbles, TFL...

I like him at SS a lot.

Don't shoot me, but I'm going to trust Nolan on this one. He'll end up in the right spot at the right time. Our SS doesn't exactly suck. He's our leading tackler and has been for years. When you consider the linebackers we're sporting right now, that's an accomplishment.
