Implications from Chad Henne's knee injury are "short-term", according to source and as Fins thought all along, which jibes w/Sparano's tone

Other reports say that he isn't on crutches, and with a slight limp....Very good signs.

Seems like he'll be out for Chicago, but should be back for Oakland. :yay:

If Thigpen brings a win against Chicago, then what

If he plays unbelievable, you ride the hot hand.

Once the hand starts to cool down, Henne gets back in there.

How about we take a page out of Don Shula's 1982 superbowl formula...known as Woodstrock. (David Woodley and Don Strock). Woodley was a journeyman who didn't make a lot of mistakes. Strock was hot, or cold, depending on the week. So he'd start Woodley and if that didn't work he'd throw in Strock.

Long live HennPen

Seems? I've heard nothing warranting such speculation. From what I read on ESPN is that he has not been ruled out for playing on Thursday. It's entirely possible (not probable) that he could start Thursday. I'd imagine they will delay the decision for as long as possible.

Henning is drawing up a bunch of naked bootleg packages just in case he starts.

Then no need to rush Henne back in. As long as Thigpen is playing well you ride the hot hand. Its about winning. However, Thigpen has been such a gambler & improviser that I expect the a hot hand to cool. Especially when D start game planning to his weaknesses.

I wish him well, but reality tells me that as soon as teams have some tape on Thiggy in this offense, he won't be such a fan favorite anymore.

If Thigpen gets the win you count your lucky stars and you march your #1 quarterback out there against Oakland. Thigpen is a solid backup and should do fine against Chicago. Henne is our starter however and he should play if he is healthy enough to.

If Jake Long is out and Henne is borderline I'd give the nod to the healthy Thigpen and not gamble on Henne taking a shot that could worsen the problem.

I'd prefer Henne and Thigpen going forward as opposed to Thigpen and Ramsey.

Very good news! Though I am hoping that Thigpen gets on a win streak to create a little controversy :)

Jake Long though is key for this game against the Bears. Julius Peppers is an animal! It might be a blessing in disguise to have the more mobile Thigpen in this game anyway.

You still go with Henne if Henne is good to go. If he's still hurt you ask yourself if a hurt Henne is better than a healthy Thigpen.
