Post Disciplined Dolphins take the right approach
Disciplined Dolphins take the right approach

Only a fool would argue that the Miami Dolphins have more talent on it’s roster than the Dallas Cowboys.

Most NFL insiders thought and openly said the Cowboys have the most talent on their roster in ALL of the NFL, and I still believe that.

Hell, the Cowboys second and third-stringers beat the Dolphins during exhibition season finale in a game where Miami used their STARTERS.

But why are the Cowboys 1-4 with superior talent, and the disciplined Dolphins are 3-2 at this point?

It’s coaching.

Say what you want about Tony Sparano’s poor use of timeouts (it’s a fair criticism based on three seasons of mistakes) and conservative approach (his team does what’s necessary for them to win), Dan Henning’s questionable play calling (there’s some merit there AT TIMES) and stubborn side, and Mike Nolan’s erratic defense (the unit needs more pass rushing besides what Cameron Wake applies), but this Dolphins team is competitive most Sunday’s because of the coaching.

There’s discipline, accountability, and a team-first focus, and it’s been that way since Day 1 of the Sparano era.

If you’ve ever been part of a team you should know how important all three are to producing success.

That approach is why the Dolphins are 3-0 on the road, and continue to feed the wolf, keeping this team’s playoff aspirations alive. ... roach.html
