The Dolphins are signing outside linebacker Malik Reed to a one-year deal, his agent Mike McCartney announced Saturday, bringing in a player who had his best season under new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio with the Denver Broncos. The 26-year-old Reed just completed his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording 25 tackles and one sack in 14 games (two starts). But he spent his first three seasons with the Broncos, with whom he signed as a rookie free agent out of Nevada after the 2019 NFL Draft.

When the consensus (or whatever) “best” defensive mind in the game brings you over from his former team that’s a pretty solid endorsement, at least for whatever he has planned for him & however limited a role.

Can he block? Phin's are addressing everything, but their most glaring need.
