I hate to see him across the field when we play the Patriots, but they sure love "receivers" who have trouble gaining separation. Superb hands, though, and a red zone threat if used correctly. It's a contract that could max out at $9 million.

Only being able to land a one yr deal shows what the NFL thinks of Gesicki and I'm sure this has more to do with getting info on the Phins O, than the desire for his ability.

It's reported his new contract is worth up to $9M. He had 2 good years with the Phins, he shouldn't be labeled as a bust.

What happens when you change coaches. Long was not a blocker.

Here Miami is getting praises for all the right moves and Phinished is crying about a 3rd Rd. pick not being a hit. Seek help for your depression.

Don’t blame me for your lust. I don’t seek you out. Learning something about yourself? (Admin edit).

When Gronk/ Brady played. Gesicki is not even 1/3 Gronk and Jones is not 1/8 of Brady. Plus they just traded a TE that played very well in Tenn, but busted in NE. Just like Hunter Henry, who was a stud with the Chargers

Yeah I remember being shocked that they took him over Dallas Goedert and Mark Andrews (both were still on the board). I was all but certain Goedert was their target because he could actually block too.

I think the pick was panned by the local media too.

Gesicki had his moments with circus catches but you could never rely on him to take short pass and break tackles up field. I had some hope for him when Tua was throwing down field to him but that last all of a few games. And we'll never forget the TD pass that hit him off the face mask.

Good luck in NE where he'll get 20 catches and one fumble recovered TD with Mac Jones at QB.

I am proud to say that I am not part of the Magnificent Three as I thought his issues this past year was a terrible scheme as far as he is concerned. He didn't have the blocking skills, the speed, and separation skills to fit the offense. He was an Adam Gase draft pick as he lobbied for Grier to draft him early in the 2nd round. The biggest disappointment that I have with Gesicki is that despite working hard at learning to block, he never improved enough. That's very unlike Randy McMichael who improved by the end of his rookie contract.

Belicheat signs FA receivers based on the difficulty he experienced when facing that player. I think we are going see see much better results in New England for him .. especially on 3rd down and in the red zone. Good luck to him the other 15 games of the season.

I agree with you, he does have the talent to produce within his own niche play style in the league, I just was never fooled into believing for a minute it would happen inside this offense. Tua is one of the least compatible QBs for Gesicki.

Ben Roethlisberger would’ve thrown him around a thousand yards in that chaotic PIT offense. Miami played too clean for him, too much of a leash that restricted him.

True. It was similar with Fitzpatrick. He was willing to sling it and let Parker and Gesicki use their height and vertical leaps to get those receptions and TD’s. Tua is better at using accuracy to hit guys in stride and through tight windows….but we saw that getting shut down more and more by teams that took away the middle of the field.

Outside two games, your lying eyes and your failed superior football IQ are making a mockery out of you. SF and SD were not great games by Tua, in SF he still threw for almost 300 Yds and two Tds. Buffalo and GB ( pre-injury ) struggled to stop Miami's O after those two games.

If anyone thinks a player will play every game lights out, then you have never walked onto a field of play in any sport.

Anyone who calls a field “the field of play” has never walked onto a “field of play” in any sport. I said Tua wasn’t compatible with Mike, not that he wasn’t a competent QB. You missed the mark again old man, post after a few more shots of coffee…or something else.

By the way I started at QB two years and played some free safety in high school, I’d assume you are more familiar with pom poms than an actual footbal but hey, who can judge that sorts thing nowadays?

I'd comment and explain further, if this made any sense, which in typical fashion you do not.

Never addressed anything about that to you. I ask Phinished a question, but with me living rent free you had to jump into the conversation.

Wow, did you also score 4 Tds in one game there? You could have something to discuss with Al Bundy.

Let me put it this way. Had I been, then that would mean I'm putting my hands all over girls backsides and dating them, while you are touching, grouping and showering with boys. Maybe dating them also. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Thank you for the free space to enjoy the burgers. I enjoy owning you.

The ramblings of a post midlife crisis. If I’m living rent free in your head you absolute gutter cheeseball then you must worship Phinished like a voodoo doll, out of his 3000 posts you’ve probably replied to 2k of them so much so he could cook up a restraining order.

Get over yourself weirdo. Phinfever is probably where you get 2/3rds of your socialization from, you don’t act like this outside of the internet. Slow your fat roll and take another dose of your meds, you need to tighten up once you clock into the factory tomorrow Mr. Hard Work

The numbers already posted on here show that Tua was at least or more compatible of a QB as Fitzpatrick was with Gesicki.

Any one that believes Gesicki was any better with Fitz, then did not watch 2020 or maybe they did, just their lying eyes fooled them.

In the first 6 games that yr with Fitz starting, Gesicki had three games with 1 or fewer catches. And only two games with more than 3. With only 2 Tds. He caught 72% of his receptions in two games. 79% of his yds came in two games.

The one other game Fitz started he had two catches and one TD.

So in 7 games with Fitz starting. He had 20 catches for 316 yds and 3 TDs.

Finished the season with 53 catches for 703 yds and 6 TDs.

So there is that superior football intellect in numbers someone is bragging about.

Absolutely, unequivocally not what I meant in the slightest…I just meant he has no friends, sent the message too quick and didn’t think twice about it. Hahaha. To be fair I said play by yourself not with…everybody’s mind has been brought to the gutter nowadays. Apologies Dave.
