The Dolphins gave up a 5th round pick for him last year, and chances of him being resigned with the Dolphins is good. He just hired Drew Rosenhaus as his agent. I thought Mostert and Wilson were a good 1-2 tandem as both ran hard when given the chance. He averaged over 4.7 ypc last year on the ground.

Clutch Points wrote:
During a recent conversation with Josh Moser of WSVN Miami, Jeff Wilson spoke about his future with the team. The veteran running back made it clear that he has no desire to play elsewhere.

“I would love to be back, I want to be back. I love everything about the organization, the city. It’s all been a blessing so to stay there and continue to be there, and not have to go to another place, and re-learn, and re-meet everybody all over again would be a major blessing because I love it there, and I feel like they love having me there,” stated Wilson.

In his limited time with the Dolphins, Jeff Wilson managed to make an impact. While sharing the backfield with Raheem Mostert, he still managed to produce in a big way on the ground.

Everybody loves playing for Miami.
Everybody loves the city. I think it's the strip club, no taxes and the retirement vibe. "Go to Miami, especially you o-lineman... they pay great and you don't have to even play.... ask Byron Jones." /endsarcasticjoke

Doesn't sound like Miami is itching to bring Wilson back. They re-signed both Mostert and Ahmed to seven figure deals, and have been talking with Minnesota about the availability of Dalvin Cook.

My head would spin with a Dalvin Cook acquisition....as long as it doesn't mortgage next year's draft.

If Wilson isn't a priority for the Dolphins, it means they are "cook"ing up something else...

Annnnndddd Miami just re-signed Wilson to a 2 two year deal.

Looks like they got the final NO on acquiring Dalvin Cook

I'm happy with a backfield of Wilson, Mostert and Ahmed as the change of pace guy.

Yeah, if healthy they certainly produce. The only remaining "hole" I see is TE, so if Miami wants to spend a pick on a RB to add to the group they have that luxury.

Thoughts on Dalton Schultz?

I like Schultz. 198 catches and 17 touchdowns in his past three years in Dallas not bad stats. Everything revolved around CD Lamb.

At this point I only know the name and the receiving production. Can he block? Does he have short area quickness? I'll have to watch some video on him.

I've heard the name Foster Moreau as someone who fits what Miami wants at TE.

Miami resigned Myles Gaskin. I would say they are out of the market for drafting a RB.

Why? While I like what Gaskin brings as a 3rd down/back up RB. Why sign him?

I wouldn't say they're out of the rb market. Won't be surprised if they pick one up in the draft and make them compete with Gaskin for the last spot. And watch the camp cuts for a good fit.

Let me clarify. They are out of the market for either a pricey free agent or a high draft pick.

After the guaranteed money they gave Mostert and Wilson, plus giving each of Ahmed and Gaskin north of $1 million, I can't believe they would spend a high pick on the position when they still have some needs (OL, TE, LB) and guys at the position they trust.

Probably didn't like what they saw at the Combine and Senior enough to say "we are spending a 2nd or 3rd Round pick on this guy".

Don't get me wrong. I know RB can be found later, but where Miami is as a team, its time to get one of the better ones. If Gibbs is there then he should be the pick.

I don't disagree. I'm a little nervous about their RT situation and there isn't anyone who I'm excited about in the TE group, but Miami can basically do what they want in the draft.
