I saw someone on Twitter ranting about how we're going to "let the best TE in Dolphins history just walk away."

Sounds like someone who doesn't have a lot of Dolphins history fresh in their mind, but I thought it was worth asking the question. Maybe I'm in the minority.

In Miami history they have almost always sucked at the TE position. Dang you Grier.

No name really jumps out at you. Especially for the younger fans.

Honorable mention, not on the list....Anthony Fasano.

I went with Mad Dog. I remember him to be a complete tight end who seemed to be able to find the end zone. The most talented was Keith Jackson, but he only played a few years with us.

Mad dog that was enough for me. : )

I put Randy Mac. He was a 4th round steal at TE and was hampered big time by bad coaching. His rookie year, he balled out until late in the year when the entire team seemed to hit a brick wall.

When the Phins were putting together the Dream Team for Shula's last year, they acquired Eric Green, who was regarded by many as the best TE in the league. After starting strong, that Team imploded.

Keith Jackson was the best TE Miami ever had, hands down. In 1994, the Phins should have made it to the Super Bowl. Jackson had 2 TD’s in the playoff game against the Chargers and Marino had a 3 TD game, but the D choked and was unable to stop Natrone Means. As it was, a safety in the 3rd quarter really was the difference in that game and Miami lost by one point. Oh well….the 49ers woukd have beat them in the big game anyway….but it would have been nice to see Marino in the big game one more time and guys like Byars, Jackson, Kirby and Fryar made that possible.

And Eric Green turned out to be a fat, lazy fukk who wouldn't do jack sheeit the rest of his career.
