This was an easy choice for PFF as Phillips is a beast with a motor that never stops.

Despite matching a 10-sack rookie season, Phillips was a dramatically better player in his second NFL campaign. While the sack numbers were the same, he almost doubled his total number of pressures, going from 39 to 77. On top of that, he registered 42 tackles resulting in a defensive stop, 26 more than in his rookie year.
