Well, Mr. Checkdown never turned into a starting QB for us, but he did carve out a decent career as a backup QB.

So, last time here: should the Dolphins have drafted 4 time Pro Bowl QB Matt Ryan at #1 instead of LT Jake Long (who would have been enshrined in the HOF if he had stayed healthy) and Henne in round 2?

Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Hanne has announced his retirement after 15 seasons.

Patrick Mahomes' backup the past five seasons, Henne made the announcement on social media following the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVII victory over the Eagles. The No. 57 overall pick of the 2008 Draft, Henne served as the Dolphins' starter for most of 2009-13 but had more interceptions than touchdowns during that timespan. He then settled into a decade of holding clipboards, with the highlight coming in the 2020-21 Divisional Round, where Henne saved the Chiefs' bacon against the Browns following a Mahomes concussion.

I mean, according to tha Google... his net worth is somewhere around $17 million dollars.

That's more money than what... 99% of us will ever see? So, I'd say yeah... that's not a bad career.

He made around $40M from the NFL over his career. Google has no idea his actual net worth.

He actually showed some promise in 2009, his first year as a starter. Then Dan Henning ruined him.

I'll never forget that Monday Night game against the Jets where he threw that bomb to Ted Ginn who had smoked Darrelle Revis on the play. Brought back memories of Dan The Man.

Yes….Matt Ryan was the choice they should have made. Imagine if they then took Jordy Nelson or Eddie Royal in round 2….. to get an OT in that draft after taking Ryan, they would have to have made a trade to jump back into round 1. In retrospect, the could have worked out really well.

This is why Chris Grier must be fired.

Blame Parcells for the pick, not Grier ( like you typically do ) One takes the Qb over the LT, but the master decided not to do that.

Its why I've never been a fan of Parcells. He never won without Belichick nor being the guy that bought the groceries.

Retiring a multimillionaire in your late 30's good for him.
