Excellent game last night as Mahommes does what he does getting the MVP for not only the year but for the game. I think it was only done once and that was Kurt Warner.

So, how far are the Dolphins from being in the big game? And, who will be there next year?

My first thought was, that Vic Fangio scheme got torn up by the Chiefs.

My second thought was, these are the two best offensive lines in football. The Dolphins aren't even close to that. No coincidence those teams were there. What the Eagles can do on 3rd and 1 is incredible. You know it's coming, you know how it's coming and you can't stop it.

Wish we had that.

I thought the offensive lines both played superb which allowed the offenses to move down the field. I surely hope Grier isn't still putting a lot of hope for 2023 in Eich and Ajax. I believe the Eagles, who have the best OL in the NFL, built their OL through the draft. We need to steal someone in their draft room who knows how to analyze college offensive linemen. That has been a weakness on this team for many years.

That mesh play that they ran is what I see Wake Forest run all the time. If everyone executes properly, that play is extremely difficult if not impossible to defend.

It seems all the offensive line of the Eagles did was lay down forward.... literally those guys were blocking with their chests just inches away from the ground.

I don’t pay attention to the NFL anymore outside of what Miami news I read on here. It’s really impressive to see Philly right back in it though after winning a title with an entirely different regime/roster just a short few years ago. I’m happy to see an authentic football market like KC start to chip up.

What are the thoughts on the defensive holding call that sealed the game, it was a little ticky tack to me.

I agree. It was a hold for sure, but it was so minimal. I definitely feel it was a case of officiating impacting the game in crunch time.

Unfortunately I think he will. They have other holes and limited draft capital.

They either spend big on a free agent right tackle, or hope Jackson becomes decent.

Eichenberg needs to get stronger.

That call can be made on every passing play that happens a NFL game..

State Farm personality playing in a State Farm sponsored stadium. We all should have know the outcome. Lets not forget KC won with two end of the game calls. Hmmmmm

For my personality its a big bet, but I put $5 on KC to win outright and not once did I go. Ut O. I knew what the results would be. The NFL was not going to let Mahomes be 1-2 in Super Bowls.

You knew what the results would be but only bet $5?

I was 99.999% sure KC would win. I'm not a gambler. That is going extreme for me. For me a $5 bet is equal to 50K bet for someone more loose with their cash. I typically bet 0.10 on a game. I work way to hard to throw money away on a bet, even feeling that confident on a game.

No Tyreek , no problem. The importance of a HC and GM knowing when to get a bounty of draft picks for a guy who most probably would have been lost with no compensation in free agency.
Totally agree with the above offensive line comments as well.

There are some weak rules that need work….the BS of completing the catch and the “football move” before you can fumble crap. Both of those calls hurt KC. You could see that fumble coming too…he never saw the hit coming. He had clear possession and turned to run upfield and got smashed. All that rule does is take away good defensive plays.

I think it was a makeup call for a missed double hold on a critical 3rd down earlier in the game. Two KC receivers got held and they missed both (which were obvious) and KC ended up punting.

My thoughts? The fins would have been blown out by either team.

Yes. Both teams showed us what a good O line can do! Also, both qb’s could make the defense pay by using their legs. The Phins do not have that dimension with Tua. The Eagles D looked great right up to that game….

Maybe.

The defense would have definitely been carved up, but a healthy offense (which means Tua and Armstead playing) would have kept the Dolphins in a shootout.
