From another article from Barry Jackson, and you know this is a unique conversation that most other teams cannot have. Waddle was drafted last year because he reminded the Dolphins a lot of Tyreek Hill.

Barry Jackson (Miami Herald) wrote:
Receivers coach Wes Welker said the staff has discussed where to line up Hill and Waddle and in what formations.

Welker explained how the thinking goes: “When Tyreek is by himself, you can always put a safety over the top and try to take care of him that way. I understand what [Rowe is] saying.” But… “You put them on opposite sides and you still have to put a Cover 2 guy on the other side too, and that opens up our run game,” Welker said.

“When you put them on the same side, you’ve got two people over there so there’s different things that defenses have to worry about having that cloud over there and how you’re going to take care of it. “Because once those guys get down the field, it becomes tough because the numbers are a little more even as opposed to them being on opposite sides.”

It’s a strategy dynamic that Mike McDaniel and his coaches enjoy debating internally.

Line them up on opposite sides and you're guaranteed to get at least one of them locked into single coverage. Line them up on the same side and have them run different routes and have them switch off routes to keep the opposing secondary guessing, and Tua can hit whomever he feels is more open.

Either way, they will do some damage to opposing secondaries.

And then you have Ced and/or Mike in the middle of the field, or Mostert running a wheel route...

It should be fun.

We've come a long way from "Go! vs. Go-Go!"

It all sounds good in theory but will we have a good enough line to protect the qb and open holes in the run game??

The O line starters better be good, because it appears we have no depth…-2 yards just before halftime in preseason game #1.
