Wow….I guess this draft class really is weak! I think there were 5 or 6 trades in round 1. The Jets were declared the winner with 3 picks in the round, but I hope they outsmarted themselves again!

:jests:

Shocked to see only the Steelers taking a QB, but Pickett seems like a solid choice….they blew a lot of smoke about picking Malik Willis.

A lot of the mocks have been saying Pickett for a while now as he is a good match and is the most starter ready of the group of QBs. I like Willis, but I think he should have gone to a big school rather than Liberty. He was well coached there, but the competition is subpar for the most part. He played against my Wolfpack and looked pretty darn good the year before. I think the talent around him was not a good last year and he tried to force things too much.

I hate to say it, but the Jets had a good draft and I think they are a rising team. I like their coach but I am not convinced about Zach Wilson. He has to take a big step forward this year which is still possible. I am excited about some really good football in the AFC East. The Jets still have a long way to go.

And this is another reason why our trade for Tyreek Hill was a good move.

I am not sure if this is good or bad. Sounds like the Patriots could have gotten him in the 2nd round if they had to have him.

The Sauce is going to get a "welcome to the NFL" trying to keep up with the Cheetah and the Penguin. This team is turning into an animal farm.

I disagree on this point. I'd argue that the Ravens took the good long-term approach here. They accumulated young draft picks, which they know how to use. If it were simply a matter of trading some picks for Hill, that would be one thing. But, we are also paying $25 million per year for Hill, which keeps us from signing two other solid starters via free agency. The Ravens got some picks for unoloading a WR who was going to cost them a lot of money to resign next year.

The way to win in the NFL is to have stars on their rookie deals -- that is where you get your best bang for your buck. Justin Jefferson, Chase, Waddle, Smith, etc. are the way to go. You just can't pay very many players $20 million per year, so you have to choose carefully. Let's see if Adams, Hill, and Cooper end up being worth their contracts.

Of course, you need to be able to hit on your draft picks. That is where the Ravens have excelled and the Dolphins have not. So the Dolphins tried the expensive veteran route this time. We'll see.

You are correct, but the Rams won a SB signing free agents. It's all about cap management.

Our first pick in the seventh is coming up soon. Maybe Dohnovan West as a versatile lineman? He can play some center.

I wonder why we didn’t take a Center or Guard in the draft.

Probably picked up similar quality of o-line after the draft.

I do not understand not getting a RB. Yes Miami signed Mostert and Edmunds, but both come with injury issues, so maybe they like Doaks. Zaquandre White does read like he has something to offer. Would have rather had the Knight dude but I think he went to the Jets, which I cannot figure out what. They have Carter and just drafted Hall.

I really wanted Bam Knight on the Phins because I think he is a good player. But it really stinks that he is a jest now. Not only do we have the same alma mater, we also graduated from the same High School and now he is a jest, this is the pits.

I watched some of the videos of the phone calls from Miami to the players they drafted. I've never seen that before, but listening to the way McDaniel talked to them was cool. I really think players are going to really want to play for him....please don't let me be wrong.

It looks like they did want one. That's the second year in a row that someone got the RB that Grier wanted. My guess is that in next year's draft we should see them target an every down back.

Our first day picks will not be injury prone.

I will refer to our missing draft guru who is still recovering from running the Boston Marathon.

A real draft grade imo would have to be on known NFL value. So as they say 3-5 years to grade a draft. Of course the Phins did use draft capitol on known NFL value.

It's a twitter thing where it cut off the top 4 on the image.

Panthers
Chiefs
Lions
Jets
Seahawks ...
