Per Rapoport: Brian Daboll, Mike McDaniel and Kellen Moore will get a second interview in Miami.

Also being reported by Cam Wolfe of NFLN, Miami wants to keep most of their defensive assistants in place.

I wonder if that is a dealbreaker for certain guys?

This makes me think that Miami will indeed hire an offensive minded coach.

Yeap. Hard to do hire a new coach, and say. " Oh yea. We want to keep the assistant coaches from the guy we fired that he lost with."

Its why I stated more than once. Why are any of you concerned with who Miami hires? In 2025 Miami will be in the same spot its in today. Looking for a new HC, because Ross is not a football blooming idiot, he has blossomed into a beautiful flower.

Plus 2nd Rd. of interviews, pretty much says. We struggle at making decisions and we want other teams to hire these guys and we will pick from what is left. If I were a candidate and they ask for a 2nd interview. My reply. " No Thanks, not interested "

It’s very common for teams to do 2nd interviews.

Probably, if your team is a desirable job, which Miami has not been in 1995.

2nd interviews are pretty standard. Pretty sure Gase and Flores were both 2nd interviews.

Denver just did 2nd interviews with their final candidates.

This goes back to the GM search after the 2013 season. Ross is dawdling about and not paying attention to detail. One can only hope he either sells the team or passes away very soon so we can get an owner who actually has a #@&*#*&^% clue!!!

The Bengals were not a desirable. They hired a HC that we ridiculed. He is now in the AFC CHampionship game.

I'm not a fan of Ross, but hoping someone dies so your football team gets new ownership is a perhaps losing perspective just a bit...

Just posted in another thread, Rapoport says Vance Joseph is out.

Daboll being offered the Giants job (not surprised as the Buffalo assistant GM just got the job there.)

On another note, I wonder what this says about Grier's influence in all of this now that Vance is out of the running. Not saying he's on a short leash, but maybe he is not the czar.

I am getting a bit uncomfortable with several people alluding to a potential left field candidate and simultaneously saying that person comes after national signing day.

What does East call him? The man in khakis from the Great Lakes?

Same with Daboll. Considering some of the posters here would not be able to tell us the difference between a football and actual pig skin, does not surprise me that some ridiculed Taylor. When the people in the know praise a guy for what he is doing, while the clueless fan base bash him. I always go with the people in the know.

To many fans believe a coach is wrong, when he is fielding a team of low level NFL players against actual NFL players.
