I said months ago the suits should have traded this guy to a more compatible team. Tua is not his QB. He’s the most finesse TE I’ve ever seen in my life. I hereby officially coin him The Globetrotter because he’s more cirque du soleil than an NFL football player and he’s built more in the mold of a basketball frame.

He’s too easy to shake off the seam for a pro TE. I’m tired of the mirage people have for him. In the infinite wisdomonious words of Mak….he sucks. He needs a Fitzpatrick style gunslinger to produce, he won’t catch any passes inside a surgical offense like Miami has with Tua.

I feel like I’ve been alone on that train for a year now but don’t worry, I’ll wait for you guys to catch up.

Image

Gesicki needs to get back on Instagram and post more cute backyard highlights of his neighbor tossing him lobs since he can’t do it in a live game.

…..yet he was the only one catching balls on that last drive before the half ended. He is a first class target and it is not his fault that our coaching staff has no idea how to use the guy. Fitz and Brissett found him regularly for big time plays….He will shine outside of Miami and make you eat your words.

Did you read the post or just get emotional over a football player? More than half your statement is you agreeing with me but whatever

:)

I distinctly said it’s mainly a compatibility issue so no, I would not be eating my words if he showed up somewhere else. He had 40 yards today, try not to break your hand patting him on the back

He was rarely targeted. The guy is a huge weapon and Flores is blind. Amd with Duke Johnson today. 7 yards a carry in the first half, so let’s just have Tua sling it in the rain instead.

All Flores’ fault. Maybe he could try using his legs to get open & not force the QB into errant throws?

He gets open, but is not even a secondary target in most plays. Brady would make him a god.

TEN is up another 7 because Gesicki couldn’t secure a slant.

Dude…if Mike is a “1st class target” what does that make Kelce? A Greek football god?

Put Gesicki on KC and they would average 40+ a week…. That staff knows how to use talent.

Phinished, you are trying to spin what is a McDonald’s into a Shula Steakhouse…Mike couldn’t even serve up a McCafe because he’d get the company sued after dropping hot coffee on the customer

I think we will get to see Gesicki prove his worth, because we will trade him and replace him with that phenom, Hunter Long. Gesicki has to pray Grier is stupid enough to trade him to an AFC rival.

….and yes, Kelce is a football god. Reliable and dominant. Best player at his position with a career taking him straight to Canton.

Yup. It’s like living under Kim Jung-Uno. The suits & ties get paid for life for running an incompetent show while the common man like us suffer, penniless. They should pay us for sticking around.

Phinfever needs to organize a mutiny on draft day.

I think if they make the expected move for Watson, there will be a lot fewer of us here on this board, sadly. I was REALLY hoping Tua would ball out in the 2nd half of the season. He hasn't. It hasn't been bad (until today) it just hasn't been good enough to make the rumors die. So now I have to hope that some other team backs up the Brinks truck and outbids Miami on the Houston Creeper so that we'll "settle for" keeping Tua and hopefully use our resources to build a competent offensive line.

Is it too much to ask that we find a competent O line coach?

It's the child in us that keeps us "sticking around", no matter how old one gets, and I know this first hand. Plus, we know today, as we knew then, this is just an intermission for we get to do it all over again "next year".

Again with this myth that Tua did not throw him the ball. Please go back and look at the numbers, I have. Tua threw to Gesicki as much or more than Fitzmagic.

Yeap. The eye test says other wise. I posted the stats here or on FB once. Almost identical, but lets not let facts and stats get in the way of what we want to see or factually not see.

Making the playoffs with no reasonable expectation of a victory is just as if one does not make the playoffs.

Are you suggesting that all the QBs that make the playoffs each and every yr pass the eye test and the ones that do not fail the eye test?

Woops, there you go with the stats again. Some can still argue with those bits of facts though.

:haha

For one reason or another, he does disappear in games. He gets his targets in bunches though. He considers himself a WR, but he does not have WR speed or get a lot of separation. Didn't he get hit right in the numbers yesterday and drop it? I saw that happen more than once yesterday, so, I cannot remember who dropped passes.

Waddle uncharacteristically dropped one that hit him right between the numbers in the 2ndvhalf I think.

I doubt Miami is going to pay Gesicki.

They have to spend on the OL, re-sign Ogbah and definitely target a WR. Let's not forget that Watson will cost nearly $40 million when they trade for him.

Gesicki has been exactly what he was drafted to be, a very good pass catching tight end. He has caught 71 balls this year….the most in a season in his career. He is still not targeted enough and shame on the coaching staff for that. He was a solid red zone target last year. I wonder what changed (Fitz)? I think Hunter Long dropped one of the only passes he saw this year, in his very limited time on the field, so he s not setting the world on fire. If they decide to let Gesicki go, then Smythe will be your starter. What a joke.

no worries, that will be restructured, if and that's a big IF, he still wants Miami, which should be up in the air after Miami's real colors shined yesterday...I think he can do a whole lot better elsewhere and so can Houston. Philly has a ton of 1st rounders....

That may be, but Watson has the no trade clause. What if Ross allows him input in coaching and personnel decisions? What if Watson sees a chance to build an offense he wants in Miami? Tom Brady has that input in TB. Rodgers threatened and got it (supposedly) in GB.
