They look surprised.

Here's the play. Nice spiral by Tua, and good block by Duke Johnson.

Maybe these OC's don't understand or know what to do with the talent available.

I thought Johnson looked better in the run game, seems like he hits the hole quicker than the other backs.

Still there is a person criticizing Tua on the play. Go figure.

Scot, you would think that winning would get people to stop being overly critical of Tua, but we were winning last year when he was a rookie, and several complained about him. Dan Marino is not comiing back, and Tua has a different style. I can see him maturing and picking apart defenses like a surgeon. He is already reading defenses faster than last year.

Tua's - Total QBR - 58 - rank 10.
Qb's ranked behind Tua
Patrick Mahomes
Carson Wentz
Lamar Jackson
Ryan Tannehill
Derek Carr
with a 58.8 rating Josh Allen is ranked 9th.

It will be interesting to revisit this at the end of the year.

When you are invested in someones failure it can be hard to back off that position.

Agree. As I put in the other thread. He has everything a team would want in a franchise Qb. Like him for who is, not hate on him for who he isn't. He is not L. Jackson / Hurts mobile, which get all the highlights. He does not have a howitzer arm. He is an extremely accurate passer and that is Job. 1 physical attribute a team should want in a Qb.

We are already seeing some of this surgeon. Miami continues to work against him with stupid penalties. Once Miami puts some talent around him in the skilled position, its going to get worse for a D. Waddle is a great start, but they need more. P. Williams has turned into a waste of a roster spot, not sure why he is still on the team. Miami needs to get a No. 1 Wr and get rid of Parker. He has been a waste of god given talent.

Perfectly said.

Tua could win a SB with a game winning drive and we would still have some going. "Well, he did not do anything in the 1st Qtr. and they should not have been in that position to begin with"

But you have to admit it's impossible to not see that offensive line collapsing all around him. It's embarrassingly bad. I'm glad Tua got a long TD but 98 times out of 100, this offensive line dooms them.

It is mind numbing how Miami is capable of producing a horrible offensive line for almost a dozen years straight now. The last time we had a good line, it would end after about 5 games due to injury….back when we had Alberts. Now, the players are either bad or the coaching is awful. With the supposed quality of the high draft picks though, you would think coaching is the issue. Some progress is being made….I only heard Austin Jackson getting flagged for one stupid penalty … but wasn’t that on the drive ending in that woeful Sanders miss?

It’s his obligatory false start penalty in t the red zone. He’s good for one a game
