Flores sure is loyal to his boys....not sure that makes the team any better.

I don't think it does. I kind of don't get it since we are in a youth movement, but he's a bandaid for someone. I think they're going to move him to safety. He can play it all and is familiar with Flores and his defensive system.

I'm not sure if I agree with Mando's take, but what are we going to do with X? He has already said he wants more money, and I cannot blame him as he is the best player on the team but doesn't make the best money in the secondary.

Feels like a bridge to starting the rookie safety.

If Howard wants more money, trade him. He is oft-injured and he isn't as good as he thinks he is.

What is the point of a contract if a player refuses to play it out? He signed that contract, recognizing at the time that he might outplay the contract, but (evidently) willing to give up a higher salary for the security that came with a long-term contract that the Dolphins were willing to give him, despite him coming off a serious injury. The Dolphings gambled and won. He gambled and lost.

Again , thinking that when you have success in one place and thinking you can plug those players in a different place and duplicate success is a fault.

It can go the other way, too, as we saw with Tannehill. But more often than not, I think you are right that success is not duplicated.

I think you stress this too much. It’s also a good thing having former players respect you enough to follow you to another state. That has to speak for something.

Are we not talking about a mid-30s something DB signing a one year contract?

Sure...Igby can step right in and replace X.....

The NFL money game has changed a lot in recent years. Players might give discounts to a team winning championships....not so much for perennial also rans.
