The #Dolphins are signing former #Rams RB Malcolm Brown, source said. He averaged more than 4 yards per rush in LA, now lands in Miami.

I guess there just weren’t any 35 or 36 year old mediocre Patriot runners on the market, or else we surely would sign them....we like our RB’s well aged or from the 7th round or later....u know....acorns.

Tough, physical runner like what we thought we were getting from Howard. Good in pass pro. Cheap. Not a bad deal, but obviously means we're gonna draft a RB1, which is what I was hoping for anyway.

If we don't, then they don't value RB1 the way I hoped.

He's a nice bruising back we can use in short yardage situations or even wearing down defenses with his punishing style. I like it, because we didn't overspend (so far, I hope) on a big name RB in free agency and will address RB early in the draft. By the end of the 2nd round we should see one of these RBs presented a Dolphins jersey on the stage: Alabama’s Najee Harris, Clemson’s Travis Etienne, or North Carolina’s Javonte Williams.

I liked Brown as a prospect. Very little wear and tear on those tires.
