Not as bad as they looked in preseason, but not stellar either. I see lots of room for improvement.
Who started on the line today?

Long, Incognito, Berger, Jerry, Carey. I thought they did pretty well, Henne had lots of time on more plays than not. The running game was doing well averaging 3.7 ypc. There is room for improvement, but for being shuffled all preseason we did well.

Pass protection was really good, despite the sacks. Those were coverage sacks. Anything over 4secs doesn't count against the line. My only beef is Berger trippin up Henne.

Yeah, Berger struggled early, and Incognito had a couple of blown assignments, but overall they played well. Incognito was pushing people out of the way in the run game. Hopefully they continue to gel and get better, but I agree, there is definitely room for improvement.

Unfortunately this 5 won't be as good as last year's starting 5, but it should still be very solid.

Not a bad day for that unit, but I think it was Carey getting beat twice for sacks. The run blocking was decent. Henne also got a lot of time to throw most of the day....whether or not he can find and hit receivers open more than 10 yards down the field is another matter.

I actually think this 5 is better than last year's starting 5. In any case, no let down. I don't think they're quite opening the running lanes but better in pass blocking.

I thought they did pretty well today. Henne had all the time in the world to throw the ball, he just didn't always make the best throws (a little more oomph in the bomb to Marshall and the Phins have 6 more points).

They did all right. But again, it was the Bills.

The ultimate test will be in a very loud dome against the best from four in the league. Minnesota's front four are even backed up by some players that could start on other teams...so they won't get tired, and they won't quit. If Miami can get out with a victory there, the rest of the season should be a breeze.
