We should try and let Marshall catch the ball first.

Bryant was selected in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, but in 2004 he was traded to the Cleveland Browns for wide receiver Quincy Morgan after a heated exchange with head coach Bill Parcells.

He has bounced from team to team ever since..

Well at least we are asking about Lavernious Coles.
Guys get cut at this time for a reason , especially one where the team is willing to shell out 8 million dollars to just cut their losses.
When we traded Camarillo the consensus was that the receiving corp was fine. Their will be others available soon .... im just not to high on Bryant.

If healthy. You sign him. No big money deals though, that left knee continues to be a problem.

You don't cut a player and take an 8 mil hit because he is good. I'm sure he won't be starting for any team this year with his knee problems.

I like our development prospects at receiver. We don't need Bryant.

Between Hartline who is still developing, Wallace and Moore, we have talent for the future. And I think one of those guys are going to come out of this year as a "surprise."

There is a little less than zero chance we sign him. The receiving corpse is set.

Why is it when anyone at all in the NFL is cut there always has to be a thread saying "He used to be good. We should sign him?"

Culpepper was never good.... He had Moss and Chris Carter... Two of the best wide-outs in NFL history to throw to. His numbers when they weren't on the field.... Below average... Thats without even taking into consideration his baby hands that caused numerous turnovers....

He was good. Pass happy offenses do generate interceptions. That's like saying Manning was never good because he had Harrison and Wayne

Steve Young was never good either, Jerry Rice did all the work.

I'd rather see us continue to develop guys like Bess, Hartline, and Turner. If we do make a move to get another big receiver in Miami, I hope it's next year in the draft.
