These Dolphins linebacker need to do some work on the jugs machine. We're talking hands of stone. But guess that's why they are linebackers.

The linebackers are working on dropping back into coverage and picking off passes. For a former BSK player Ike Alama-Francis needs hand work

There is a new No. 27. It use to be Evan Oglesby. Maybe a new player, or a number switch. He's a CB.

Austin Spitler is practice and he's paired with Tim Dobbins for second team action.

Jared Odrick, Koa Misi and Cameron Wake continue to work as the starters on defense.

I was impressed by the fact Dolphins Davone Bess came out to catch passes 15 minutes before the rest of the team. This is standard for him.

Dolphins WR Ryan Grice-Mullen is practicing in the afternoon despite his leg issue

Grice-Mullen might be the beneficiary of Sheets' leg injury.....might lead to him becoming the return guy for the team.

Actually Bess did this back at Hawaii. He and RGM used to catch a 100 balls before and after practice.

More from Omar

Quote:
Patrick Turner made one hell of a diving catch on a slant from Chad Henne. He got away from Vontae Davis to bring the catch in.

Dolphins QB Pat White sparingly got worked in during the afternoon session. He was decent, which is a step in the right direction.

While I lusted after Chad Pennington early in camp, it appears his arm is starting to lose a little of it's zip.Ball took long to get moving

Safe money is on Patrick Cobbs handing the kickoff duties in 2010 unless someone shines. Cobbs has his speed back, and should already make 53

The usual suspects worked the 1st team kickoff unit, with 2 additions. Ike Alama-Francis and John Nalbone.

Been noticing that TE John Nalbone has been running with the second team. He's not making plays, but he's there.

Greg Camarillo beat Vontae Davis for a touchdown during 7-on-7. Brandon Marshall also got him good for one of those jump balls.

I've noticed Karlos Dansby & Channing Crowder are always buddied up.This has to help their chemistry as starters. And yes Crowder is starting

I'm not a guy who gets excited about offense, but the more you watch Brandon Marshall work the more impressed you are. Clearly a dominant WR

Dolphins FB Lousaka Polite was the 1st player I saw clearly beat Karlos Dansby on a play. He shook Dansby after a redzone catch & scored.

CB Jason Allen made a nice deflection in the endzone, breaking up a Pennington pass to WR Ryan Grice-Mullen.

Patrick Turner made a couple of nice catches again today. He's clearly feeling good and playing better. His teammates kept giving him props

Cameron Wake roasted Vernon Carey on a sack during drill. If action was live he would have hurt the QB based on how fast he turned the corner

Phins WR Taurus Johnson took the first-team reps as the new kickoff guy with Kory Sheets gone. Maybe Tony Sparano will remember his name now

Dolphins RB Tristan Davis was running with purpose on Wednesday.Think last year's practice squad RB views Sheets' injury as his opportunity?

Looks like a lot of good news out of Turner huh? This WR battle is beginning to shape up!
