Miami Dolphins' Yeremiah Bell added to Pro Bowl rosterBY ADAM H. BEASLEY
abeasley@MiamiHerald.comGood news, Dolphins fans: your team won't be shut out of Sunday's Pro Bowl, after all.
The NFL added safety Yeremiah Bell to the AFC roster Monday, replacing the Colts' Antoine Bethea, who has something far more pressing going on next weekend: preparing for Super Bowl XLIV.
Bell's addition ensures Dolphins some representation in the Pro Bowl, held in South Florida for the first time. Offensive tackle Jake Long was the only Miami player originally named to the AFC squad, but he withdrew from the game due to injury.
But with the Colts and Saints advancing to Super Bowl XLIV, also held at Sun Trust Stadium, the NFL had to fill the spots of 14 players.
Bell was one of the lucky 14 fill-ins.
