Post Sparano has WR Harline pencilled in as #2 WR due to YAC
If Hartline can take that next step forward this year, he could be a real playmaker for us. Let's remember that when he was drafted, the word on him was that he had a lot of potential but needed another year in college to develop. Well, due to his hard work and intelligence, he ended up being a gem for us in that draft.

** Hartline ended the day with a sick over-the-shoulder catch over Jones, earning a chest bump from Marshall.

Sparano said Hartline’s performance as a rookie – especially his run after the catch ability – has vaulted him to the No. 2 receiver position for now, but Bess and Greg Camarillo will have plenty of opportunities this season. “The most productive guy will play, but they’ll all have roles,” Sparano said.

Coach Tony Sparano cited Brian Hartline's run-after-catch ability and rookie-year performance as the primary reasons he's ticketed to be the Dolphins' starter opposite Brandon Marshall. As a rookie, Hartline finished second in the NFL to Vincent Jackson in first-down catch rate and led the Fins in yards per reception. With chain-moving skills and better-than-advertised deep speed, Hartline is an intriguing dynasty prospect. He should improve by the week in camp and the regular season.
