Where did you get that jersey, anyway, because his real number was 90, not 50.

Yeah, he started as 90, but after several depth chart demotions and Shula trying to hide the horrible pick they had him down to 50, which was the last one that had his name on it. I think he ended up wearing 9 and they simply added a fictitious name, Fiedler-something.

I looked it up. He was 90 all three years according to the rosters! You must have a practice jersey! In fact, was he even active for games? I mean, no tackles in three years! None. Zippo. One interception, five sacks, and NO tackles.

Kumerow. He of the 3-year, no tackles, career. If we would have had a silly tackling meter on him, the needle never would have budged!

:haha

I remember being shocked that we drafted him when his Ohio State teammate Chris Spielman was there for the taking. I knew Spielman was going to be very good player in the NFL. I guess Shula was desperate for a pass rusher.

Anyways, Kumerow had 5 sacks and 1 int, so, they must not have kept up with tackles back in his day ... unless he just rushed the passes on passing downs.

That Landry was holding us back... Teams took away his YAC and he couldn't score.

The problem with Landry was he just didn't do enough.... And his blocking was about the same as Stills so we wont be losing anything there either.

As you know his blocking was superb but we can't afford to pay a slot reciever that doesnt stretch the field that blocks well the amount of money the Browns gave him.

When you're are the point of trying to argue how well a receiver blocks I think we can say you are now reaching just to build a narrative.

Why wasn't there a bidding war for his services?

My guess is he has a tantrum by midseason because Cleveland will stink, they will be very run heavy and Todd Haley will quickly discover that Landry in the slot is the most efficient approach.

People are also sleeping on Mike Gesicki as a slot option for Miami. The guy can beat defenders, make one handed grabs, and go up for high passes that your typical shorter slot guy wouldn't get. If he, Amendola and Wilson are as advertised then Landry will be quickly forgotten.
