If DeVante Parker doesn't respond to your requests, maybe he doesn't want your help. So, don't bad-mouth him to the press. If Parker is following his coaches' recommendations, then I am fine with him. Just put on the field the talent that we know you have. I expect him to have a better year than he had last year.

From Joe Schad this morning.

DeVante Parker — Dolphins coaches say few if any players have spent more time in the building than Parker since last season ended. He’s been focused on managing his health as well as studying film. The national and local expectations for Parker have been lowered based on disappointing 2016 and 2017 seasons, which is a good position for him to be in. I did notice Parker running extra routes with Tannehill at a recent practice. How much does Tannehill’s return help Parker?

Why did Parker even waste his time responding?

I hope he wasn't slobbed out on the couch eating twinkies when he responded!

I'm sure DeVante Parker is thinking that Chambers is really only caring about ....

:$$

and his NFL developing business and getting his name out there ... which it has now at Parker's expense. It's no-lose for Chambers.

Parker has not come close to having a productive injury free season. If the shoe fits wear it Devante. I for one am tired about hearing about his potential. Its time to produce or hit the road.

I'm surprised he's ahead of Amendola.

Seems Parker has not welcomed Chambers open arms and desire to help him become a better player in the past...

Quote:
Parker might have already been irritated by Chambers' criticism of Parker in the pages of the Miami Herald.

Back on May 25, our Barry Jackson reported that Chambers, who runs a fitness center in Davie that trains NFL players, had reached out to Parker “several times to offer my assistance to speed up his growth curve” but never heard back.

There is a pretty good chance the first time Parker ever heard of Chambers was once he got to Miami. lol

Amendola is going to be our slot, so, he's not a #1 WR (eh, Landry? ... lol).

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. After we traded him, he looked fantastic for the Chargers with Rivers throwing him the ball for the rest of the season, but then he disappeared with them as well.

He never took care of himself the way he should have, had all the ability to be a great, but outside of Miami he is rather unknown...

Parker wont be known outside of Louisville at this rate...

Coach Loggains has DeVante's back.

Adam Beasley wrote:
Attention Chris Chambers: Dowell Loggains has a message.

The short version? You're wrong about DeVante Parker.

"I've been really impressed since I've gotten here with his work ethic," Loggains, Miami's first-year offensive coordinator, said of Parker Wednesday. "The guy's spent a ton of time here in the offseason.

".... He was in the building grinding, doing the things he needed to do. A very professional guy that's trying to get better every day."

While Loggains did not address the latest dustup between a current and former Dolphins wideout, his remarks felt like a pretty strong rebuttal to Chambers' recent criticism. He said a few weeks back he doesn't "know if [Parker] fully gets what it means to be a pro" after the Dolphins' fourth-year receiver declined an invitation to work out at Chambers' Davie-based fitness center.

Chambers, the fourth-leading receiver in team history, also irritated Parker by listing him as the Dolphins' third-best receiver, prompting Parker to fire back on Twitter: "Nobody cares about his opinion."
