My guess is that this isn't muscle mass, so, most of it will burn off with camp. I thought he ran quickly last year and stayed healthy.

Drake revealed Friday he added five to 10 pounds since the season ended.http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachpost. ... ed-weight/
“So I’m about 215 right now,” Drake said, speaking before the Dolphins Cancer Challenge Celebrity Golf Tournament. “I know as I run around I’ll probably lose that weight. But maintaining it is definitely something I want to do. Get to that weight to begin with, sustain it during the offseason program. Then when training camp hits, I might lose five pounds, but I’ll still be at an optimal weight for the season.”
Drake took over a starting role for the Dolphins after Jay Ajayi was traded, and now teammate Damien Williams signed with the Chiefs. Despite the addition of veteran Frank Gore, the explosive Drake should be counted on to shoulder the workload.
Drake feels the added weight comes with no downside.
“Just for the long season,” Drake said. “The wear and tear that you have to go through. I feel that weight won’t slow me down. It will just give me the extra power and momentum that I need to kind of go throughout the entire season. I feel it’s mostly being conscious of what I put in my body. The time I put meals in my body. To make sure that I eat three snacks a day with meals in between. Just really being mindful of the things I put in my body.”
Miami’s offseason program in Davie begins on Monday.
“I can’t wait to get started,” Drake said. “I wish we were putting on pads. But the CBA kind of doesn’t allow that. So I look forward to just getting back in the groove with the team. Running around with (Ryan) Tannehill back at the handle again. So I’m excited.”
