Interesting list.

That's too much good draft talent walking out the door because we decide to extend them when its too late. A good front office recognizes their value early on and doesn't let them hit free agency. Ours recognizes it when we tag them and someone else is willing to offer more money and we can't match.

A 1-2 punch of Miller and Ajayi, a 1-2 punch of Landry and Matthews with a little bit of Clay sprinkled in and we would be talking about a different offense.

Instead, we're trying to trade a starting right tackle for a complimentary back, had to sign two slot receivers, one unproven and the other injury prone, and are still searching for a real tight end.

The very definition of mediocrity, with the exception of #1 on the list. Not worth overpaying to keep. The only reason this isn't a depressing list is that we found so many mediocre players in the later rounds.

Without digging in deeper to see whether or not I agree with this list, I am struck by 2 things immediately. First, only 2 first round picks make it. And second, only 2 of them are still on the team. Awful.

Do you see anyone on the team now they should sign before contract is up.

Jordan Phillips and maybe Xavien Howard come to mind.

Check out this futility over our past several drafts. The gray highlighted players are no longer with us. What is disheartening is that we see our current decision-makers repeating the same cycle.

For me the disappointment doesn't lie so much with so many players not being on the Dolphins, but so many players not being in the NFL.
