The Miami Dolphins put themselves right back in the thick of the AFC wild-card playoff picture with Monday night’s stunning victory over the New England Patriots. If they win their final three games, which would give them a 9-7 record, they would have a realistic chance of making the postseason for a second consecutive season.http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miam ... story.html
The good news for the Dolphins (6-7), who are just one game out of the final wild-card spot in the AFC ...
If I figured correctly the easiest path to the playoffs for the Phins would be of course to win out and then for the Raiders to lose one of their last three games (they face the cowboys, eagles and chargers.) and the charges to loose one of their last three games ( they face the chiefs, jets, and raiders).
The Raiders hold the same record and the tie break so losing one would do it if Phins win out.
The chargers have a one game better record but Phins hold the tie breaker so losing just one would put the Phins in over them if the Phins win out.
Winning the last three would take care of the Bills and Chiefs.
That is the easy part there is one last part. The hard part.
Either the Titans or the Ravens would have to lose two games. Titans face 49ers, Rams, Jaguars. Titans are two games better but Phins hold the tie breaker.
Ravens face Browns, Colts, Bengals. The Ravens only have a one game better record but hold the tie break.
Of the hard part I think the Titans losing two more probable than Ravens losing two.
Right now I would rate that the Phins could possibly make the playoffs but it is not probable.
