Who saw this coming well FINesse of course.

Quote:
Dave Hyde

“I’m taking the air out of the ball,’’ Landry said. “! I’m deflating it.” ... a taunting gesture for the Patriots’ Deflategate history.
Who knew they’d play like this, much less taunt like this? In fact, who knew what to make of anything this night? Who saw any of it coming? And who can translate what it really means?

...

The script flipped. The world turned upside down. Or maybe it really was those Dolphins’ throwback uniforms that took fans — at least those of a certain age — back to that Perfect Season in 1972. The Dolphins looked that perfect part Monday, too.
Even ’72 fullback Larry Csonka was tweeting Monday after ’17 cornerback Xavien Howard’s second interception of Tom Brady, “Man that was one of THE best interceptions I’ve seen!”

...

Or who saw Jay Cutler completely outplaying Brady? Another surprise. ...

That said, did you see this coming? And what does it mean? That the Dolphins are really this good? Or that it was the annual one-game tease that happens when the planets align and the ’72 uniforms are worn?
That’s beyond me after watching this team slog through this year

It means we fans should be pissed. How do you start out respectable, completely fall apart in the middle part of the season only to become world beaters at the end. It would be fitting to watch them finish 9-7 and miss the playoffs. No playoffs and a lousy draft pick should complete the suckage.

I think if Miami wins out they are pretty much in. But I agree with your larger point. Where was this all year? Play calling creativity, the OL buying Cutler time, the pass rush getting after a QB, Cutler making decent throws, etc. etc.

This team should be 8-5 and that is the most maddening part.

Now if they win out and Cutler has a hot hand down the stretch there will be some serious questions for the team this offseason.

I'm happy. But can anyone tell me if we are sure that the Patriots don't have the worst defensive line or something? I'm just trying to wrap my head around this.

I don't know what team we'll see next week or the weeks after, I say just savor the win. We beat dominated the hated Patriots on MNF. Some one should find a picture of Brady from the game and start a caption contest.

The way our o line outplayed their o line was most impressive.

They simply are have way more talent on their starting five.

We do have a penchant for losing to back up qb's....

Gotta give Gase credit for righting the ship again this year...

The Pats' defense had not allowed more than 17 points dating back to Week 4. Everyone up here in NE is crying about no Gronk, no Edelman, and missing starters at RT, DE and LB.

Well guess what. Miami was missing their expected starting QB, their "franchise" back who was traded away, their RG and RT, their expected MLB (McMillan), starting CB (Tankersley) and 3rd down RB.

Last I checked Brady has 2 1st Rd WRs (Cooks and Dorsett), a capable TE (Dwayne Allen) and a stable of RBs who tore other teams apart. Their defense has 2 Pro Bowl CBs, plenty of efficient/experienced front 7 guys and oh yeah, Mr. Tom I Don't Lose Games Brady pulling the trigger.

Gase finally got creative and Burke is finally calling plays that fit his defense rather than some zone heavy crap.

Miami can beat teams if they stay focused and get an early lead.

Its not surprising at all. New England has struggled in games in Miami for years.

That and the loss to Buffalo in the AFC Championship at home are two painful losses....

I know im always the optimist and I think this team can beat anybody but if you take their first 4 wins they could have all been losses but enough of that. This team has turned the corner and there is a new sherrif in town.

Oh I saw it coming. Start out hot like you want to make the playoffs....imitate the worst team in football for half a season to screw any reasonable shot at the playoffs.... then win last 5 games to make everyone hope you make the playoffs only to further screw yourself out of a decent draft pick. It is Miami....I've seen this for years.
