Sorry, but this sounds like a coaching staff absolving themselves of their responsibilities. If players aren't putting in the work and you continue putting them on the field, you are part of the problem.

Nice fine, Aqnor. No sure if the analysis is correct, but seems plausible.

Thanks, Aqnor.

Coach Gase needs to step up and take some of the blame, too. Part of me thinks that he feels he has to call these type of plays on 3rd down because the pass rush is coming and the OL / RB are not blocking well. Still, these types of plays make me want to puke. You definitely can't blame Moore for not getting the first down on this play. He had little options.

Gase has lost his team. He is getting his reward.

Gase has them running routes well short of the sticks as a matter of routine. Part of his "genius."

Maybe he had Landry going past the sticks and Landry improvised. We'll never know.

Gase is right..No way is it a talent issue. These guys are not executing and he is making them accountable.

They drop back 7 yards? Wonder why we suck.

Center and guards drop 3-5 yards back, tackles drop 5-7 yards back typically on each passing play.

Have you not noticed that when a QB is in shotgun or takes a 5-7 step drop that pass rushers and tackles are usually in his vicinity? Did you think that pass protection is standing at the line of scrimmage and blocking?

I'm not sure why you are surprised by the fact that offensive linemen back pedal in pass protection....
