Always cheering for my motherland :) (Denmark) ...sadly it won't go so well this year, I expect. Too many injuries and some crappy depth on our squad

Same for Portugal. We're past our prime right now. We should have won the Euro in 04, or the WC in 06. Had such great teams. If Ronaldo had been in 2007 form for that 2006 cup, we would have won it. I don't think I'm ever getting over losing to France in that BS semifinal.

Nani, Bosingwa, Pepe (although he's active), Quaresma....tough brake this year. Plus considering we're in the group of death...I'll be elated if we advance to the elimination rounds. Just wish Ronaldo would stop creating such a bad image about his play. He's the best player in the world, bar none, but most people give the nod to Messi because of Ronaldo's attitude on the field. Needs a smack in the back of the head from his grandmother or something.

Portugal is my motherland, bro...well I mean pretty much. My generation is the first to be born here.

I'll root for the US, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Messi is the best in the world ;)

Quaresma is crap, imo but losing Nani was indeed a loss. He's a great player and you have a tough group indeed. I doubt we'll make it through to the next stage either but I still have hopes. Cameroun certainly didn't impress.

Someone created a pretty awesome World Cup Calendar in flash that keeps up with all the scores. I'm impressed with it.

By the way, I get tired of all these tie games. I say we make them play until they drop. The fans deserve a win .... not a tie.

So we finally get to talk about a sport that I know a lot about (in comparison to the NFL anyway).

Here's hoping England beat Slovenia tomorrow and we actually so as well as the talent in our team suggests!!

By the way, when can we talk about cricket and Rugby?? ;-)

When England starts living up to their over-inflated hype in a tournament.

o0oo0o0o.

Lol. Just messing. I couldn't help myself.

Feel bad for Nigeria and South Africa. Played their hearts out today and just came up short.

Did I mention Portugal won 7-0 yesterday?? :runwiththeball: :yay:

Ghana and Germany is going to be one hell of a game. Even if you're not a soccer fan, I suggest you guys try and catch that game. Both teams are fast paced, explosive teams and both needs wins.

USA played a very good game. It took until the final minutes to get that goal, but they had many opportunities. I dont' think I've seen that many balls hit the bar that often without going in. And, once again the referees made a terrible call negating our first half goal.

So, while we had the same record as England, we get the division based on goals scored. That means we play the 2nd place team in the next round.

LMFAO. What a great translator....

I'm pumped from that game. Great game. I'm not a Donovan fan, (actually genuinely dislike him), but he deserved that goal for how hard he has worked over the past year at Everton and in LA.

Portugal-Brazil on Friday. Neither team has anything to lose and lots to gain. Two rivals, sister countries...great teams...If your near a TV or a computer I recommend watching that game. It's going to be epic.

Idk what's worse... trying to read the German or the English Translation lol.

This is the first time we've made it to the 2nd round since 1930... awesome!

Hopefully we can keep up the pressure on opposing teams... we should have won this game at least 3-0... these guys have to know their positions on the field better. That offsides was inexcusable and then two straight shots right in front of the goal were booted over top of it...
