I updated all the ranks (under our pictures). I wanted to compress them closer together, and I didn't use the different colors as I have in the past for positions. I figured that makes us one big team around here.

Friends,

I need to give you an update on our Financial status:

Annual Bills: $1500
Amount Raised: $747
Still Lack: $753

Even though we have hundreds of people come by our forum on a daily basis, we only had 19 friends help out. In fact, $200 was given by my brother and Matt Kent (Phinzone), and they do not attend our forum.

If the site means anything to you, and if you had planned on donating, please consider helping us stay on the www. I ended up paying over $600 last year with funds that were not raised, and I have to admit that with my wife finishing up her Master's degree in December, I have a lot of college bills that I am now pahying (on top of my own college bills).

I understand that I do send this out every year as our bills are due every year, but with advertisers not paying much, this is the only avenue that I have. In a perfect world, I would have all of this covered and you all wouldn't see these emails.

So, if you would like to help out, you can do so here:

Thanks, Ken. I do, truely, HATE to ask for donations. I get nothing from the site except to hang out with all of you great Dolphin fans. There aren't many around here. That is my main reason for having a web site.

Guys,

I have one pass for Web Weekend this year. Brad needed one for his family, so, that leaves one left. I wanted to offer this to someone who has helped us stay alive. If anyone wants to go, send a PM/IM to me.

I am sorry that it is only one pass, but as some of you all know, it is an event you just can't pass up ... and you will be hanging out with all of the other cool webmasters as you meet the team, go to a game, get a field pass before the game, get a lot of good eats, and meet some of the coaches. They field questions from you, etc. You also get to me a lot of the Alumni.

Let me know.

Dave

Good afternoon and hope all is well. Just wanted to let you all know that have a confirmed game for Web Weekend. The 14th edition will take place around the Tennessee game on Oct. 8. Looking for ideas on anything we can do to make it different this year. Please respond with any thoughts. No idea is a bad idea.

Also, I’ll let you know as soon as we have a finalized date for the training camp day for the fan sites.

Thanks and GO DOLPHINS!

Hey Dave,

I sent you some that I hope helps. I don't comment much because we have a lot of other guys that keep the conversations going. I do like to stop by and read all the stuff going back and forth.

It's funny to me. I have always just been a Dolphins Fan. For me though, it was a way to escape the reality of my life growing up. Dan Marino was literally my father figure after my Dad was murdered when I was 8 yrs old.

My reason for loving the Dolphins is probably quite different than most. I saw "A Football Life" Dan Marino this past week and of course, I was brought back to a time that wasn't too much fun, but I also was reminded of what it felt like to watch him and the Dolphins play and how it gave me hope when there wasn't a whole lot of hope to be found.

I say all this to just let you know how "Thankful" I am for this site and will always do what I can for you and what you do.

To all the guys that have made this site what it is, I sincerely appreciate all of you.

Thanks a bunch for allowing me to be a small part of this site...

Lance

Lance, I just checked my PayPal account not expecting anything new in it, but was shocked to see your $150 donation. Man, thanks so much. That's a lot of money that I hoped people wouldn't have to pay as we have many members that could donate $10 or $20 and not feel it. $150 is a big chunk of change, and I do appreciate it very much.

Thanks!
Dave
