Quote:
Brandon Marshall is participating in today's OTA session. Marshall is working with 1st team. Just caught his first open OTA pass from Chad Henne.

-- Brandon Marshall is wearing No. 19. He said that will be his number this season.

-- Brandon Marshall and Greg Camarillo are paired as the Dolphins' starting receivers with Brian Hartline and Davone Bess as the backups.

-- Marshall is working wide right. Henne just hit him on quick slant in skeleton drills.

-- Marshall is switching sides, x and z, right and left.

I like Camarillo. A lot. But, I don't think it will last. Hartline will end up being that guy IMO.

You are probably right. And I agree with that statement. But, I think Hartline will go into the game as the starter. But, Cam and even Bess will see plenty of snaps. Marshall will be played in all different spots.

I agree with that statement. Camarillo and Bess will see plenty of chances.

They are knockoffs. I think they look pretty close to the real thing, but it's something like buying a "Rolex" from a guy on a corner. If you want an official NFL jersey, you will have to buy from nfl.com. If you don't care about whether it's an officially licensed NFL product, then you might as well spend the $26 and save some cash!

They are legit, but replica. The name and number are iron on, but they hold up well. I have gotten 3 or 4 from there and am happy with the quality...

i just looked at the nflnhlshop.com site and they said all names and numbers are embroidered. Are you saying that they say one thing, but you get another? or did you order a replica one where it said it was an iron on?

Brandon Marshall Feeling Good

MiamiDolphins.com reports after returning to the practice field today, Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall said Wednesday that he feels good and is ahead of schedule in his recovery from hip surgery. Marshall caught passes from QB Chad Henne. "It makes you feel a part of the team. When you are on the sideline, just watching and getting mental reps kind of sucks a little bit. It feels good to run out there a little bit."

Camarillo is a beast, and I predict a sophomore slump for Hartline.

Hartline is too dedicated to have a sophomore slump. He's not that type of player.

I'm with Hypo. Love Cam. Guy is the man, but in most 2 WR sets by the end of next year, Hartline will be opposite Marshall.

Sparano has praised Hartline thus far for his work in the OTA's.

Hartline will be the #2 guy. He should have a nice year with all the attention Marshall gets from opposing secondaries. I truly believe our offense should be in the top 5 this year.

Re: Marshall finally participating, and will weAR #19 this season
yards after the catch was a category that Marshall was nearly best at last season. looking at the stats of the top ten YACers for last season it stuck out that Marshall had the second lowest averaged yards per catch of the top ten YACers, only Wes welker averaged less YPC. Nonetheless marshall made many big plays for the broncos last season so the reason why marshalls average was so suprisingly low was because he was used in too many short passing routes. In order for Marshall to run the longer routes he should be paired with Devone Bess. Bess is a player that compares well with Welker, so putting Marshall and Bess together as the starting Wrs will give Miami a passing attack that is younger and at least equally potent as New England's.

Dedication has nothing to do with sophomore slumps. They just happen. But, you guys are set in your beliefs, so let the fun competition begin...let's revisit this.

Sophomore slumps happen because opposing teams have video and a corresponding report card to game plan with...

Wouldn't that mean that every player's rookie season would be his best year, since after that everybody has video of them and will be able to shut him down?

I disagree. I think there is plenty of video evidence to know a player's strengths and weaknesses and how to attack a player with just a couple week's worth of tape. I think sophomore slumps happen because you relax a little bit. You're not a freshman trying to fit in and get your teammates to notice you anymore. You're a part of the team and you don't have to work so hard anymore.

I know that was my mindset from freshman to sophomore year in high school...and believe me the grades supported it.
:fart:

I don't see Hartline as that type of player though. He's an extremely hard worker and curious guy and loves to compete. That's what Miami fell in love with and I don't think he let's them down. We need him to take the next step, not a step down.

Not sure anyone can truly answer why they happen. But, they do happen. But, not to everyone. Saying that it will happen to Hartline is a bit premature.. Especially with all the praise he has been receiving.

Well yes, it will always be premature until it happens...it's a predication. I really have no evidence to go off of...has nothing to do with his dedication or what have you; just a feeling

Camarillo is average at best, please. No size, no speed, decent hands. Average.
