The Dolphins, who briefly discussed a long-term contract for Ronnie Brown last year, now are taking a wait-and-see approach, which Brown understands coming off another injury and entering the final year of his contract. ``I can't control it, so why worry about it? We don't know if there will be a [work stoppage] next season.''

If they signed him to a long-term deal coming off another injury - jeesh - I would be fuming.

He will get a sticky pad in Nov - Dec as long as he is healthy and back to his usual productivity...

I just dont think the two sides will agree on terms, and I think another team will offer more $ than the FIns...

Ronnie has stated he wants to stay here, so we will see how badly he wants to stay...

I'd be interested to see what team aside from us would shell out the money for a guy who gets injured as often as he does. It's every-other year. So if he's healthy this year...uh-oh for 2011...if there's even football...

Ronnie may as well sign the contract. He's not getting anything longterm right now from anyone.

Ronnie Brown not worried over contract
Tue, 01 Jun 2010 07:35:57 -0400

Miami Dolphins restricted free-agent RB Ronnie Brown has not signed his $3.97 million tender because he's pushing for a multiyear deal the Dolphins have not offered, reports Omar Kelly, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Although Brown admits he isn't thrilled about the prospect of playing on a one-year deal, he is not worrying over his contract situation. "I can't worry about it too much. I can't sign myself," Brown said. "If I start to worry about it, is it going to change it? If I start to talk about it, is it going to change it? Is (my contract situation) going to become a positive or a negative?"

If you ask me we'll probably lose Ronnie after this season. The Trifecta will probably take the compensatory draft pick and call it a day. They'll then probably draft a couple of running backs in next year's draft. They'll try to keep Ricky on one more season or go find someone else in free agency. Or maybe we'll make a trade for an elite back with our first round pick next season?
