I haven't crunched the numbers, but my memory tells me that even though our defense registered a lot of sacks last year, we never seemed to get them against good teams in the 4th quarter. When it came to crunch time, the opposing QBs often had plenty of opportunity to find the open guy. That kind of situation makes any defensive secondary look bad. (Like the NO game.) That's not to say that our FS didn't suck last year; he surely did, and the inability of our ILBs to cover down field was well documented. Just sayin' that a little more consistency up front would def. help make whoever our new FS look better. Here's hoping Nolan can generate that with the guys we have.
