Since this is Omar's twitter account I think he is giving the bare minimum to convey what he has found out. It would seem that a baseball team drafted him but he decided to stick with football.

Was a captain on his team and led it in tackles. Just a guess though.

I had him going to Miami in one of my mocks.

He's a good player. He'll push Jones for the backup job.

WOW PR; I'm impressed. You really do your homework on all eligible collegiate players. I have never heard Of Amaya, yet you had him in one of your mocks. I looked at alot of S's cuz I knew it was a position of need. Way to study the prospects.

Surely this guy didn't bench 225 only 8 times in his workout. If that is the case, he doesn't have much upper body strength at all. In fact, I don't know too many guys that play football period that cannot bench more than that at any college level and that just tells me he doesn't workout hard enough. Thats my opinion anyway.

Personally, I think Jones ends up starting.

Could you imagine 40 rounds of Mel Kiper???
:hitme:

On a more serious note, we need help at the safety position so bringing in this kid looks like a good move to me. I believe it was Parcells who said that the draft was like a crap shoot, so I guess the more players you have the better chance you have of something turning out good.
:yay:
