Post So, what to do with Jonathan Martin
I really don't see how the Dolphins will get anything in a trade for him. I also don't think that he should get off easy on this either by us releasing him. And he is under contract with us. What team would want him? If I were a GM, I would worry about chemistry and mistrust over him in my lockerroom. Martin handled this whole thing wrong.

It's not surprising, and is the same thing ESPN's Lisa Salters reported in November. The sooner the NFL can resolve the situation, the better.

At best maybe Luck lobbies for Indy to offer a 7th rounder for the guy. And even that is beyond a long shot.

He gets cut, goes back to law school (which will probably be paid via civil suit) and we never hear from him again.

He didn't want to make anything of the story to begin with. His parents really forced it upon him, and I guess he didn't let his parents know about all of this! This is all according to what I have read on various sites like cbssports, yahoo, etc.

I would find it hard to believe him making a real impact in the NFL in the near future. Maybe in 5 years when everyone forgets, but not while the scab is still in healing.

In all honesty, despite all the crap that this caused, I'm almost glad it happened. Richie Incognito was 1 more smart a$$ move away from being suspended anyways, and Martin was a crap lineman. 2 guys we def. don't need in the locker room. I think the biggest hit we took from it was it scratched Philbins rep. For all of us Philbin supporters that is.

Get him off the roster, either via trade or releasing him. One way or another, he needs to be off this roster. And I am glad Incognito is gone to.

Or maybe Jim Harbaugh is willing to trade a 7th round pick for his former college tackle.

This hasn't happened fast enough in my opinion. Why this has all gotten dragged out this long makes me believe behind the scenes, Martin's mom is pushing lawsuit, so the NFL is keeping all this quiet. We all know the legal system can drag things out, but this is ridiculous.

Like Rock, said, cut him. The guy is an embarrassment to the NFL.

Have him come back then kick his ass, then release him.

It would be pretty awesome if they didn't cut him, forced him to come back and face the music to collect his paycheck and then released him after everyone had a chance to give him a piece of their mind.

It all depends what Ted Wells has to say.

Nobody is going to make a move to acquire Martin or Incognito until the lawyer decides who to pin this all on.
