I 100% think this was his plan all along... nothing else makes sense...

1 day he is joking back and forth with richie the next .. all hell breaks loose..

This is about having 2 parents that know the law and a kid that wants a quick pay day..

The doors this is going to open.... OMG!

Yeap. Martin with his parents securing his RP. He'll probably become the poster child in the NFL for mental disorders.

sucks to see anyone tricked into what could be a early retirement...

Hoping for the best...

I know this is probably going to come across as insensitive.... If so, I apologize.

But right now, Martin is coming across as a spoiled brat who whined to his mommy and daddy, and now they are telling him what to do. He appears to be someone who has no skin, and can't stand up for himself. Did they physically abuse him in the locker room? Not that I am aware of...
They told him to do (stupid) things, and like a pansy, he just did them and didn't step up and say "no".

He received voicemails and texts with words that I guarantee are said in other locker rooms on a regular basis. You can question this statement, but I worked with an NFL team 5 years ago, and I first hand heard those words being thrown around. Maybe it is unfortunate, but you have to expect it to some extent. I wonder if Martin EVER said these things back. If so, how innocent is he in this whole process. Yes, I understand that they are insensitive and hurtful words, but they are thrown around.

He knows he will NEVER play in the NFL again because he isn't made for it. He tried it and he doesn't like it. He is not capable enough as a player, and I don't think the NFL is an appropriate work setting based on his personality. I sure as hell would not want him on my team if i was a fan of someone else. Handle it in house. If its not for you, then talk to the coach and say that you don't want to be a part of the team because of x, y, and z. Running away from the facility and making national headlines is not the best way to handle yourself. You don't have to attempt to bring down a whole organization down in the process, and then later on act like, "oh hey... I am ready to play football now guys". You won't be treated like everyone else in the locker room... and then he will feel insulted or something and have a problem with that too.

I know that this attitude may get me ripped to shreds by some people here, but I am just personally annoyed by HOW things went down. Martin has not made a statement in like 2 weeks and our organization has been thrown to the wolves based on a lot of media reports. Be a man, dude... But hey, I guess that is too much to expect from him.

I really hope he gets whatever help he needs. But I wouldn't lose an ounce of sleep if he never steps on the football field again. Time to put that degree to use kid.

it really is this simple for me too. I agree on all fronts, don't think you'll be ripped for that opinion on here from anyone, but I could be wrong...but who cares. That was a true factinon.

What exactly are you aware of? Were you there?

Again, no one knows what happens but everyone seems to have an opinion without knowing the facts.

That's the problem with people, the rush to judgment.

I am aware of the things that have been reported. Things I have read and heard regarding the situation. I am sure this will not be good enough, but thats fine..
I never said I had all of the facts.

Isn't that the point of the site though... To express an opinion? Especially based on what we hear about in the media? Where else do we get any information? When new information comes out, opinions can change. Maybe I am wrong, so sorry about that.

I suppose no one knows ALL the facts, therefore no one should be commenting at all about this topic on here i guess.. might as well lock them all down. Anyways, I guess I will be back to state my opinion only once everything is out. Don't want to be a problem for anyone

Just as the saints were most likely not the only team with a bounty system, but were made an example of, now the Dolphins will pay a hefty price and NFL locker rooms will take notice.

Feels like it will take 100 years to ever be 3-0 again too.

In lining up all the lawsuits. Here are some more he could line up.

File a bullying suit against all the journalist who have not evaluated his play for being nothing but excellent.

Coaches for yelling at him for failing to block his man and do his job.

The trainers for wrapping his ankles to tight.

Wow, just think of the lawsuits and cash he could land on all this.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of a job was that, it sounds interesting.

I was an intern athletic trainer during the 2008 season for the Kansas City Chiefs. Did a lot of the behind the scenes jobs dealing with the players' healthcare. I like to think my claim to fame was being on the sideline when Brady went down that year : ) Anyways... The training room can be a place where a lot of things are said as it is a bit more relaxed. I don't have any stories like what is going on in Miami, but things are said that are often not always nice, but said in a joking matter. That is why all of this is frustrating. I think a lot of it is depending on someone's perception of things.

Still, Herm Edwards was the coach and he was a man of dignity, and preached that to his players so maybe that kept things from getting out of hand.
Although I am 100% a dolphins fan, I think it is cool seeing people like Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson, Brandon Albert doing well over there. They were really cool dudes. Hope they continue to do well

Thanks. That sounds like it would have been a really cool experience.

Anyone catch Martin hanging out and having a good time on the Stanford sideline last night?

Heard a Dolphin's player saw it and tweeted you've gotta be bleeping kidding me.

Shouldn't his mom have coached him up better on how to act in public.
This is a joke.

Why shouldn't he be. He is expecting a large settlement so he does not have to play football again. He set this up nicely.

That's the irony of all of this.

Martin is a weasel and his mother is using him and the Dolphins to push her agenda. Sad.

I actually loved the sign that read "Standford girls are so bad that Tiger Woods left school early."
